I've actually changed my major a couple times. Started off pre-engineering, which was a mistake, but it lead me into getting into CIS: computer information science. Thing is, I didn't really have a passions for coding, and once we hit cobal, I was like fuck this. After that, I went music performance: also a mistake because i'm an introvert and by this time, I hadn't played trumpet in 4 years. I was okay, and making progress, but I'm far better at writing music than playint it

Problem was, the college didn't have a composition program, and -all- their music courses (academic, and performance based) had attendance policies, which didn't sit well with me.
Currently, I'm majoring in secondary education with a focus on chemistry (going back to my science roots) Doing pretty well with the chem, mostly refreshing myself right now, but starting this summer, i'll be hitting new material.
After I get my BA, i'll be 3 courses away from a BS in chem, so I might go ahead and just take them. The three courses would be Physical Chem II, and introductory quantum mechanics: applications of schrodinger's equation, and biochem (In the education track, you can choose to take modern analytical, biochem, or environment, was thinking environmental, but i may go with biochem anywas, thus knocking it down to only needing 2 courses for the BS)
After I finish that, I'll either start teaching so i can make a living to support my writing music, and let my girlfriend (working on a PhD in neuroscience right now) be the money maker, and later go into grad school, or i'll just go straight into a master's of chemistry, or maybe material sciences if i can get into that. I'm kinda interested in the whole cryo-tempering metals stuff.
