I had always been a playstation fan, until the Xbox came out. I never really liked Nintendo either, because my family owned a Sega MegaDrive (or genesis)...You see where this is going, I have experimented with two of the big three (excluding dreamcast, it sucked), and with this new evidence of Nintendo greatness, I think that I might have to buy the first Nintendo system I have ever bought. Or I might just buy all three.
Either way it's all good, I hope to see a fair console war, may the best games win.

.....Nintendo hasn't given us shit yet at E3. If they wait until the end just to showcase the revolution everyone is gonna lose interest.

True that, but there are 'other' sources of information.
And if what Impossible directed us to earlier in this topic is indicative in any way of Nintendo's power...it will be a console to be remembered -- for all the right reasons.

Dreamcast wasn't bad, it was just released on bad timing. I gurantee you if it had been released in the earlier stages of the PS1, sega would still be a console titan.

The Dreamcast was INSANELY ahead of its time. The only reason that it didn't do well was because of the timing. Everyone had spent all their money on a Playstation or a Nintendo 64.

Uh.. Impossible, PS2 wasn't weakest gamecube was... and X-360 isn't going to be the weakest either(that's what the revolution is for).
I'm not trying to bash the Revolution, but it's failed to meet my standards.
As for what I'm talking about, Nintendo never gets any good third party games(there are a few exceptions). As for Twilight Princess, I really hope I'm not disappointed because I have very high hopes. I'm a little bit scared of the whole wolf transformation thing, but I'm sure Nintendo won't let me down(riding horseback looks awesome).
By the way, I think the PS3 looks more like a fax machine than anything else, but looks aren't everything. They're something, but not everything.
My Favorites List:
10. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
9. King Kong (it's actually impressive)
8. Tony Hawk's American Wasteland(what can I say I love those games)
7. The Godfather (I know, I know)
6. Gears of War
5. Killing Day
4. Quake 4
3. Killzone 2
2. Shadow of the Colossus
1. LOZ: Twilight Princess
Honorable Mention: The Movies, Full Auto

Edit: The Dreamcast was huge up until the PS2. It wasn't because of the PS or N64(in Japan the only reason people bought it instead of the Dreamcast was because it was the cheapest DVD player around. For a while The Matrix was the top selling item for the PS2)

It doesn't matter which system is the weakest or not as long as you sell the most copies.

Sony owned the hell out of Microsoft and Nintendo, proving that graphics aren't everything.

Nintendo's has bearly releases any information on the Revolution, yet its already "failed to meet your standards"?

I caught some rumors saying that you'll be able to download older nintendo games for use on the Revolution. If this is true, and if the selection isn't just limited to first-party games, then it is officially the Best Thing Ever. I mean, New Horizons on a big screen?? I shouldn't get too excited though.

Oh, and I heard the mmorpg final fantasy is going to the 360. This created a hilarious moment of bedlam in a different forum as the sony fanboys wigged out because they thought the whole franchise was going with it. And I did giggle, merrily and for sooth.
Maybe if you know your true love is about to move away to college or something, you can stick this shit in the stereo and make the moment last while at the same time listening to pussies whine about bitch shit. Just like you.

Pure ignorance. Absolute bullshit. You made one statement disputing a FACT, and and another making up your own idiotic theory which was never announced by anyone. The XBox 360 is coming out before the other systems, and will probably be using slightly older technology. We don't really know about the Revolution yet. And the numbers of "x times PS2/XB/GCN" mean absolutely nothing. The GCN and XBox both came out quite some time after the PS2, and were obviously more powerful.

Revolution playing NES, SNES, N64 and GCN games is a fact, not rumor. It was announced at the Press Conference - they're redefining backwards compatibility, so we can potentially play every Nintendo console game ever released - don't expect this, though, because it's not even remotely feasible. Nintendo will have to choose games to be downloaded, but I'm sure we'll see all the great third-party titles.

The reason Nintendo haven't revealed much information on the Revolution:

IGNcube: Do we have to wait until E3 2006 for more Revolution info, or do you have a new Space World coming later this year?

Shigeru Miyamoto: That hasn't been determined. We haven't decided yet. I'm sure that there will be information that we'll get out somewhere, somehow, through developers or something. I'm sure there will be some leaks. But next year at E3, everything will be public as far as Revolution is concerned. It will all be out there, which should tell you that we're well into it. It's not that we don't have anything. So next year you'll get it all.

IGNcube: Have Revolution development kits gone out yet?

Shigeru Miyamoto: We have not sent out development kits to developers yet. However, development kits for the Nintendo Revolution are very similar to the ones for the GameCube. So we feel that the environments are so similar that they will be able to start development very quickly upon receiving the development kits for Revolution.

IGNcube: Can you tell us when you'll send out Revolution development kits?

Shigeru Miyamoto: As far as when we're going to be sending out development kits, we don't have set schedule at this point. But I think that if you look at it, the "development kits" that a lot of other companies are sending out, are those really the ones with the latest chips? Are those the ones that have all the latest technology? It's hard to say. I don't think we're going to be that much different from other companies when they are sending out their actual finished development kits. I think we'll be able to send the development kits in a timeframe that pleases the developers. It's going to be in a time when it fits their development schedules well.

IGNcube: We're all assuming that the revolutionary aspect of Revolution is the controller. Do you know what the Revolution is yet or are you still trying to figure that out?

Shigeru Miyamoto: [Laughs] You're doubting me, aren't you? I can see that you're over there mistrusting my word. I understand. [Laughs]

Of course. It's set in stone. It has been determined. I'd love to show it to you. I'd love to be able to show you the features of the Revolution controller and tell you about them. However, unfortunately if we do that too early those ideas would be stolen. We know that from past history. Analog stick. Boom - gone. Rumble Pak. We bring it out and everybody has to have rumble. We got the wireless out first and now there's wireless everywhere. So we have to keep it under wraps.

Hmm, just look at the Dual Shock controller. Almost everything about it (except L2 and R2) are based on something Nintendo either created or standardized - D-Pad, Analog Sticks, ABXY face button layout (renamed, obviously), shoulder triggers, start/select buttons and rumble controlling. Nintendo are doing something bigger than any of that with the Revolution, you can bet.

The 360 will hands down be weakest. And the dreamcast sold well for maybe a week at most. After that, it was a complete flop. I have no idea where you're getting this from Shade.

I'm just saying that the Revolution is going to obviously weaker based on size alone. Revolution will be backwards compatible with all those systems, but it doesn't matter since I have most of those lying somewhere around my house. Also, I'm not giong to put my trust in Nintendo just yet(mostly because it has disappointed me before). I really hope Nintendo proves me wrong, but you have to put the past into consideration. Hell, it's E3 they don't have to show how revolutionary the controller is but they should show something to catch my interest. Even on the DS, Nintendogs may have been huge in Japan, but Nintendo should learn that things that do well in Japan, don't generally do well here(again there are a few exceptions so don't bash that statement). Instead of searching all over for the goddamn DS stylus, I'm going to go buy a PSP. As for the 360, it's going to be more powerful than the Revolution. You can't fit enough power into such a small package. I also took a look at something I think nintendo shouldn't have done. The GBA Micro. One question. Why what wrong with the SP it's already small. It already fits easily into your pocket. It doesn't make sense to make it. I'm sure a million idiots are going to buy it, and I'll still be trying to figure out why. As for the Dreamcast argument, the Dreamcast sold well up until the PS2 came out. It was a great machine. You should really do your research before you argue with me about the Dreamcast.

Wow, you're completely retarded. Assuming the Revolution will be weaker just because of size.

The GB Micro is hardly bigger than an iPod Mini, but it's many times powerful than an old brick GameBoy which is a few times the size. Heck, it's even more powerful than a GBASP in one sense, because they managed to squeeze a backlight (and a headphone jack) in it as well! I think Nintendo have proven they are capable of fitting very powerful things into very small packages.

The Revolution will be at least several times as powerful as the XBox despite being many times smaller. Don't think the numbers of "2-3 times" or "15 times" or "35 times" more powerful than the previous system mean anything. They're merely worthless numbers, and not all of them are even on the same scale - it would take a lot more than 3 times the power of the GCN to be able to have environments three times the size, three times as many polygons, and three times in EVERYTHING related to graphics and propcessing power three times the level of the GameCube.

You do NOT know anything about the Revolution or its power, so don't give me that shit.

Actually, I think the GBM is just slightly too small. They're stretching how small a screen can get without us being unable to read text on it - I would NOT play an RPG on that thing. If they made it around half an inch bigger every way, it would really be a better design. But it's a GameBoy - and so, people will buy it. Even though the DS is out and superior. The GBASP is still selling strong, so why not?

Fair enough, just because a console is small doesn't mean that it won't be powerful. But Impossible, please stop calling people retarded.

I mean seriously, people don't have the infinite knowledge that you possess. Now lets be realistic here -- Impossible knows everything, don't argue for he is always right. Nobody has any chance. Impossible is the man. He is never wrong. Revolution is the best. There is no competition. [/Sarcasm]
