Well... looks like the pope is dead

Don't know why I made this topic. I guess I just want to see people's thoughts.

He was 84. It was about time for him to die. Can't say I care much, seeing as I'm not Catholic.

Still, the pope, dying on April Fool's Day... rather ironic.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those conflict threads that will be locked quick. Even so, it should be interesting. (I'm not Catholic either)

I don't care much either, I'm not a very religious person.

Wouldn't it be weird if he came out tomorrow yelling, "April Fools!"
Edit: He's not yet dead...oops I misheard. He's dying.

Well, from what I see, he'll probably be dead today.

I think its rather sad, seeing what he's done in his lifetime...

(Well, actually according to my history teacher... had something to do w/ Russians or something... oO and a revolution... but i digress)

My teacher makes jokes about it in class. It disgusts me when the pope falls and people jump up and screams "He's FINALLY dead!", like they don't value life at all. :?

It doesn't matter what good he's done, it's because he doesn't speak up that George Bush can get away with claiming he was told by god to invade Iraq. And the next pope probably won't change anything either. Religions are bullshit.

84 year olds can be in good shape. I doubt Bob Delmonteque's going to kick the bucket anytime soon.

I didn't even know what a Pope was until this whole issue with him dying came up.

The Pope is cool. Sure he has problems, but he's oldschool. I really like him.....but his death is almost guaranteed.
