Let's catch up on Glenn's life in happy hibbing! Hooray!

So about two weeks ago I find out there's a stabbing that happened. I ask around, and yeah, happened near my friend's house. 39-year-old stabbed. Aint that great? And guess what! The one suspected of the stabbing was released! Read about it if you want.

So then I'm thinking "Wow, this is the worst thing that's happened in the last year since the meth lab down the street and police shootout on the road I take to school." But guess what! A shootout 5 blocks away and stabbing on the other side of town just wasn't close enough. We needed something RIGHT NEXT DOOR. And now I got it.
There's a house at the end of my block that has a round roof. Kinda odd looking. It used to belong to a family named the Katulas. Rob K. from that family does drugs and has been in juvy. But luckily they moved out before all that started.
So now a family lives there with two kids around the ages of 4 and 6. Across the alley (it goes my block, alleyway, new family's house on other side of alley, and train tracks) over on my side is a family with two kids, one about 8 and one about 7 or so.
Alright, so, the mother of the round-house family does drugs apparently. Yesterday she gets high, walks over to the family at the end on my side, and threatens to kill their two kids for being little bastards or something. So the good family calls the police on drug-mom. The police go to roundhouse and knock on the door. "Ma'am, we'd like to have a word with you." "GET THE FUCK AWAY! I'LL FUCKING KILL MYSELF!"
"Ma'am, step out of the house."
"GET AWAY!!!"
So she opens the door, MACES THE FUCKING COPS, and runs back inside. They don't go in, for fear that she'll kill her own kids. Pleasant, eh?
She's in jail now. But still, I live in a rural area. I don't want to have to worry about my own freaking block. Seriously, this is what happens when Walmart is what you consider a "mall," there's one movie theater which never gets the biggest movies, and we don't even have a blockbuster. I want a blockbuster.

uhh... I don't know what the proper responce to that would be.

It would be that Melbourne kicks ass and has a very low crime rate.

All I'm trying to say is that Hibbing is fine compared to the Twin Cities.
Yeah, it sounds funny, but let's put this in perspective.
There a 9 crackhouses around my school. Within 3 blocks, I mean.
There are 3 students on house arrest, one with a trial that will most likely result in 17 years in jail due to estacy possession.
I feel your pain, man, but things will only get worse if you:
a) go to college
or
b) move to a city

Dude, don't complain about bad shit till you go to a big city. We see some fucked up stuff. Philly is bad but Baltimore is horrible. Murder capital of the country I think. But we also have really interesting stuff too. We currently have a whale swimming around in the river. It's really cool, haha.
