How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?

I will run this poll for seven days. The correct answer will be provided at the end of the seven-day poll duration. Please give me an answer and any reason underpinning your choice. If you do not want to vote, you are not inclined to, however I would appreciate it.

I want to see how intelligent you lads and ladies are!
Thanks for your time.

I refuse to vote in a poll without a "STAB" option.

But incidentally, if you want the answer: Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.

I've heard this one, even if you call it a leg, it's still a tail.

16 minutes late, Pooter.

In other news. I have a new avatar in honor of the great but not-goddamn-updating-enough VG Cats. And I just decided I hate it. It looks goddamn constipated! And now I'll probably never find my Ed avatar again.

If you want it I have it.
I stole it from you.
Just msn me.
...Actually I think I'll use it for a while, providing you don't mind?

No, you don't come anywhere near Ed's level of awesomeness, you're not worthy. At least I'm somewhat close, although he's too awesome for even me to be his equal.

Plus if you use it I'll keep having my attention drawn to your posts when I'm looking for mine. I like using colourful avatars for this purpose. >_<

I might find another avatar later today.

Edit: Ah, much better. Now change your avatar; I'm sick of reading your posts and thinking "What the fuck? When did I say that? I'm not that stupid."

Alright, own up, who voted five?

I said one because you called the tail a leg, but you didn't call the legs a leg.

That is a good example of Formal Operational thought.
Nice thinking Chickenman, these are the types of answers I am looking for. Keep them coming!

No, actually because somebody got it already in the first few posts you have to make up for your crappy topic.

No, actually I want to see people's reasoning. Don't jump to conclusions, I'm not as daft as you might think I am. I want to see your reasons underpinning the choices that each individual made. And I never said it was the right answer.

No, it's because someone got it in the first post.

...Using an EXACT quote of the answer, too! Jesus, and it's so ancient.

Yet again...you persist to argue? Both of you... I am looking for reasons to the answers that you have provided. Its not the destination, it's the journey that counts. Now quit arguing.

The dog has no legs until proven otherwise. Innocent until proven guilty, etc etc. You've yet to give a concrete definition of the dog itself, so for all we know, the dog could be an amputee. In addition we still do not know if the dog itself is actually a dog, what if it's a spoon? In a theoreticly perfect world, four would remain a logical constant, but without definate property it remains an intangible quantity. One cannot put a label on that which does not exist. Now the real question is, how many of you guys googled the answer before taking a shot at it yourselves. :P

I would love to see a spoon with four legs and a tail.
