Putnam Competition

I am thinking about participating in the William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition (
http://math.scu.edu/putnam/) next year. Has anyone here ever done this? (DSOK?) If so could you please tell me how you prepared for it? So far I have just been going over past exams, but I don't feel like I am making that much progress.

I went to a spelling bee in third grade... I made it all the way to the finals, but I wasn't able to spell quill.

I nearly won the county-wide spelling bee in eighth grade but for missing the u in flouridate. But it's alright. I lost to an asian. She nearly had one of those high-strung heart attacks, so I still got entertained.

Ad-aware could do it if this thing is particularly hard to get rid of. Otherwise, look in Add and Remove programs and Program Files.

Adaware, Spybot, even Microsoft Antispyware (the most generic name ever) does some good. Note the word some. It picked up maybe one thing that Adaware and Spybot did not. Or I was dreaming. I'm not too sure.
Or if you can't get rid of it, just stop using IE.
