this is probably a dumb question but is there any way to mute the noise of an rpg maker game. I'm trying to listen to music while i play but the music from the game keeps distracting me. Anyone?

2 things I've thought of that I don't care to test:

1) Remove the songs from their original folder and put them elsewhere. Can't play what doesn't exist.

2) Open the game folder in RM2K (or RM2k3) as a project and toggle the music off from there. If you don't know how, uh...learn.

in windows, you can go into your volume control and mute midi playback (SW Synth), and you should be good to go.
