Ok, I remember a little bit ago Glenn created a thread on how Elian Gonsalez must be the Anti-Christ. I have a new theory now that i've developed myself.

"Over the years, Conservative Republicans will gain more and more seats in the House and the Senate. There will be a dynasty of elected Republican Presidents and officials as more and more people are converted into Right Wing Christian Nutjobs.

Eventually the government will pass a law stating that all abortions shall be made illegal in every state.

Meanwhile a teenage girl is impregnated by Satan.

This girl, fearing for her life and the life of humanity will attempt to get an abortion in order to stop the second coming.

Unfortunately for her, all of the abortion clinics are closed down due to its illegality.

She is forced to have the baby.

The Anti-Christ will go on a reign of terror and destruction, torturing and killing everyone.

The World's destruction will be the product of our ignorance."

The republicans will probably lose power soon because of all the damage Bush has done, even they hate him right now. It'll only take half a testicle (more than they have) for the democrats to win the next presidential election.

Anyway, the federal goverment can't outlaw abortion. Overturning Roe V. Wade will only leave legality of abortion up to the states. Quite a few states have absolutely no chance of making it illegal, mostly the blue ones.

And the world will end when the floating continents are released from dimension x36b and come crashing down on us.

yes teh republicans will lose power... but... it won't be too the democrats as we know them...
simply put... if the democrats back down on abortion they could sweep the elections. that simple. that's all they have to do. that one issue casts around 10-15% of the votes. I would have voted democrat despite their stance on gay marriage if they would have been pro-life.

true, Bush cold never win re-election even if he was allowed to run. iraq is simply to unpopular. Even the person who inerits the probelm will only last one term whatever their affiliation. besides we have so much trouble coming down the pipe from stupidity and greed of not just our leaders that no one in leadership will last long .. (example--- bird-flu, sky rocketing inflation, energy costs, wars). the old story goes... the captian gets blamed even if the ship was leaking before he got on board.
I think we should have invaded Iran, not Iraq. maybe there were some typos inthe CIA briefs.

Dropping their stance on abortion would be a good way to alienate most of current democrats... it's not like the democrats didn't win the popular vote for the last two elections. All they needed was a swing state to get pissed at the right and Bush has already set this up for the next election.

Well I don't think the end of the world will come that way, or any of these far out ways. I think it's most likely that we'll pollute ourselves to death because people are afraid of change and when the world leaders finally do agree to use clean energy it'll be too late.

If the floating continents don't destroy 97% of humankind, then it could definitely be disease... Pollution doesn't have the destructive capabilities of disease, though it could kill off people with weaker lungs, hearts, etc. Of course we have the whole ice cap melting scenario but that still allows most people to survive.

Yes, I realize that pollution could lead to more cancer but I'm pretty sure that has more to do with what we put into our body rather than what we surround it with.
