Bored... possibly insomnia...

So it's almost 2:30am in Brisbane, Australia, and I am bored as hell because I have nothing to do. I'm also very tired and have to get up early tommorow... today... and yet still there is some demented little section of my brain the refuses to let me consider going to sleep like a normal person...

I'm sure some of you have had similar cercumstances at one point or another, so I want to know: What do you guys (and girls) do to waste your time or entertain yourselves in the wee hours when everyone else is asleep, and you should be as well?

If I'm bored and tired, I go to sleep. It's logical, especially if you gotta get up next day. But when not tired, I crack open ZSnes and play some old game whilst listening to some quiet music for about 10 hours straight into the morning, then I'd go eat breakfast and get ready for the day ahead.

I usually play a videogame I've beaten 50, nay, 500 times over. Otherwise I'll hang out online listening to any and all music in my collection. And sometimes when I'm just THAT tired where I crawl into bed and lay there awake, I'll listen to a techno song called Insomnia...that usually makes me wanna sleep after.

I sit on my head with my back against the wall, it usually gets me tired after two hours of watching tv like that.

I'm actually about to spend the night playing Seiken Densetsu 3 now.

Balls to sleeping I say.

Insomnia and I are no common strangers. It's a good feeling, you know, to simply know that there is something to be done that you want to do of your own free choice. I have so many projects going that I hardly have enough time to sleep many nights. I also consider sleepless work a challenge after the first 24 hours. I recall I somewhat enjoyed the sleepless days I spent years back. I remember I once stayed up for four days, no napping at all. Although my hands were a bit shakey and it was very apparent that I needed sleep, I simply wanted to finish my games and writing assignment. I found the original copy of the mentioned assignment a little while ago, and I can sort of graph the spiral into sleepless insanity as the paper continued. Logic starts to slip away at about...page three.

You should post that up, it'd be cool to see someone slowly making less and less sense, somewhat like the stuff I'd do in Algebra while on anti-depressants (for OCD, not depression). I'd think I had done everything on the multiple choice assignment, and the next day I'd notice that NOTHING was done, I had half circled my letters, those letters were the wrong answer, and one time I circled a C in the actual question instead of the answers.

I think my Religious Studies Exam was quite a good example. I was deprived of sleep and ended up going on and on about Vikings and Valhalla etc. for a few pages.

Heh, I do that with Vikings too. I had a history project on the Norse; A few pages on food, a few on famous persons, a hefy 7 page section on tactics during a battle, and a whopping 10 page section dedicated to just a few mythology stories. Seriously, just tell mythology stories and you'll do fine all the way to college.

Glenn, I'll add it to my 'to do' list...I wrote it out, so I don't exactly feel overwhelmed with excitement and want to get that done pronto.

Ah, so fitting that I decide my final activity on my spree is a followup on my insomnia habits. I am at the end of the fourth sleepless night in a row. I'm sure I could've slept any given time (we call that adaptation, I call it apathy for vector quantities in Physics). During this time I have written many small programs in C++ for practice, because my functions are a bit rusty because there are so many differences between declaring, calling, and implementing a function and its perimeters (spelling?). I also came across the single most intellectually non-war offensive questioning of sanity ever to grace this earth:

We all know that 1 =\= 2. However, describe what would happen if, say, FUCKING UNICORNS existed. Following that new logic, justify the statement 1=2.

Oh, I had a field day with this one. It's over 4 handwritten pages, so I'll summarize it: Unicorns=Horses with magic powers(powers result of joining "the Brotherhood"). I then go on to describe how they controll every damn feature of our lives and that we would be fucked without some of their fearures and funcitons ....fearuers...what the fuck? features*. I then describe a variety of reasons why this must be true: Unicorns go disguised as common horses among men so as to directly avert an issue with the population. I decribed celeberty horses well-known far and wide, including Mr. Ed, Silver from "The Lone Ranger", and "Seabiscut". I then recalled that it was the iron brigade of cavalry that saved the union at he battle of gettysburgm, how they destroyed the Hindenburg using their Laser-beam eyes, thus assuring others that tacos are tasy...fuck, did it again...my mind keeps asking "What the fuck am I doing again? Oh, dammit! My reaction time is pretty bad at this moment too.

Oh, so in the end I allude to unicorns as a symbol of faith and religion; only then do they have the ability to pulla "matrix"on us as we are all naked fetuses stuck in a plexiglas tub somewhere deep inside the matricx. That means they are an ....awseome contrigcontributor...gah!...This means that they can bend reality so that they can easily make 1 equal two!

Fun stuff...It's really hard to keep my mind form slipping to a more radicaly new tenor....what the hell? I keep drifting in an out. It is not worth the side effects on your shead and your general c duh!.....

I see drawers that move and squirm abound on their own. I think I see a lost soul as the 90 continues to come to dinner....I see that my post hardly makes sense at this point...I wanted a greater track of how long I could be up by just one more day, but I con't just do that...So here I am now, LOSING ANY GRIP ON REALITY and forgetting to turn off caps kee

I do believe I will find this either entertaining overall as I rebuild my city, or I could woship sata.....

Promotional chocolate....and pencils...mmm.

oh my god...

Oh my god, was my spelling that bad?!? Holy shit! I make war look like...well, let's just say he could pass as a regular person in public when juxtaposed with my last post....

I am so sorry I put you all through that. I'll keep it up as a reminder of the price of productivity I enjoyed...and the sleep I lost.

lol. I know how you feel, I tried to write a reminder about buying a soundcard this morning at 4:30am, and I tried to read it 10 minutes ago and it's inilledgible to human eye.
Once again, I don't know why I stayed up until 4:30am... I mean my ps2 is broken, so I couldn't play that, and I've left all my xbox games exept Fable at my dads house and I already have 10 or so finished games in Fable...
So what did I do you ask?
I downloaded rpgmaker 2000 at 9:30pm and started a new game in Fable which I played on and off while checking if anyone else was alive on Crestfallen Studios.....

EDIT: Oh and at about 2:30am I got sick of being lightside so I started a new game to be darkside, man you get so much more exp and reknown as an evil person.
