RMXP Game Development

Hello, I recently purchased RMXP a domain and webhosting to begin a company or a studio of my own if you will. However, for my idea to come to fruition I need help. As a sole individual I can't maintain a studio without help from other people and I don't particularly want a 1 person studio either. Should anybody want to help me start the actual design process of a game I have the tools to do so. I plan on making a game with the RMXP engine and selling it for profit legally. The pricing has not been decided yet, and most likely won't until the game is near completion. Anyone who chooses to apply for QuestLance Studio and is accepted any sales made with the game will be split on a percentile figure according to the amount of help contributed. Please reply with any questions or applications as to how you may help.

For those of you who remember me, this is Ryan. As I am sure most of you can agree things in the past belong in the past and people deserve chances to ammend themselves and I just want to enjoy this great community :).

The sad truth it I don't think anyone will buy a game made with RMXP or any RpgMaker. It best you go with a better engine or making it free.

Actually, I'd suggest using the Torque Game Engine. If you seriously want to make anything good, that's the best choice.

I already purchased RMXP for $60.00 and to be honest I want to follow through with this studio and sticking with RMXP is my best bet right now. But I do appreciate the comments on checking out torque. I will be sure to look into torque in a minute here.

I will purchase Torque after I publish a game with RMXP since I already purchased a license for it.

dude... i got it off Bearshare... english ver... for... free...

and no one is going to buy a RMXP game. RMXP has proven its unstabillity in battle with lower versions. lol.

by the time u finish ur game, many RMXP games will be out, for FREE!
the whole purpose of RPG Maker is to have people make games for free. rarely any people purchase them. unless of course if it is Jeru's super-high graphic game.

i dont think u should create a studio over a program that is better off with making games alone and is designed for it. no offence but if u make a team for it its too lame.

I'll cut the crap and get down to it right away; We hardly let past conflicts we particularly dislike remembering go so easily. I doubt I'll ever care what Inderos ever says again, let alone Tak, and you and Just, who seem to enjoy coincidentally entering the community near the same times, are hardly any exception. Sure opinions change, but obviously not enough if you need to clarify that with everyone. And honestly, I hardly care to look up your post logs to remember which exact reason I don't like you, but your new actions have only renewed my dislike of such character.

While I do admit that purchasing software does give an incredibly higher sense of security and reliability, buying anti-virus software for example, I still don't think that you made the wisest of purchases. It does allow me to get a picture of what kind of person you are, however. And that is what I base my opinions on.

That said, I feel obligated to notify you that I hardly tolerate arrogant stupidity, including unjustified claims and disregard towards proper standards of the English language. You have definitely given me material to work with as it were, but now that you've been notified that we don't tolerate general idiocy, I think it's fair to say a warning has been made.

Shindy - No offense taken, you are entitled to your opinion afterall. However, anything is worth the effort you put into anything as long as you have the desire to do so, which I do.

Teenrocker - I don't think your exactly wrong but I do feel as though your annoyance or dislikes in me is your own faulty characteristics. Most people who have a good attitude look past what others may have done. Please keep in mind this is an internet forum.

Really? I was under the impression that I was simply under the influence of a drug every time I clicked the firefox icon, and that all of your responses were simply figments of my intoxicated reality!

No really, I said you were fine. Blaming some ulterior motive, such as 'inferior characteristics' isn't one I'm used to...I don't know about you personally, but I believe that you're implying that you have superior characteristics. While one could simply call you a Nazi and leave it at that, it seems like that would get nothing more than a cheap laugh and a shot at your tiny e-dignity. However, I'll simply go out on a limb and guess that you are merely uncomfortable with knowing that you've already been recieved by a member on bad terms. That's not my problem, even if I am that member. However, to go and be hypocritical of your previous statement about forgetting the past and moving on, which you haven't really encouraged with your response, is either offensively unfounded or based on your previous experiences with me. However, since we all know that you have a developed opinion of me from before today, we can then verify that you're basing your statement off of the past, making you a hypocrite and confirming your handicap on rational thought. I would merely suggest that you back off from this 'forgive and forget' crap before you make an even bigger fool of yourself.

I thought it was illegal to distribute games made on an rpgmaker in exchange for money.
I can't imagine anyone buying it anyway.

Well, he bought the software, and we don't really care to read the licenses, but I'm sure that if the software included any premade stuff whatsoever (sprites, music, etc), you'd need permission from the owners of their respective companies to use whatever it is, notifying them of the intended profit. So unless you want to track down all the artists for the mp3's you use, you'll need to compose the music yourself, as well as make your own sprite sheets, backgrounds, monsters, and any other fun stuff. I'd suggest you read the EULA if you really wanna avoid any of that boring stuff and see what it says about the content, but then, like before, we need to take into account that nobody ever reads them.
