Paedophilia

I read this on some website the other day. A paedophile who had recently been let out of prison joined some internet chat room. They pretended to be a boyl. Then he got talking to some girl and agreed to meet. When he arrived he found out the other person was a 40 year old man. They got into a fight and the other guy killed the paedophile.

I've heard of this before. The government hires guys to do this. But kill him?

What if, however unlikely, it was a real young boy? Would they just kill him anyway? Would they tell him not to do it again? Or would they just let him walk away and become depressed because the girl didn't show.
