My nextdoor neighbor Sam and i are pretty good freinds, and tommorow his mum was due to have an induced labour. We're not sure why but she and her youngest child (not my friend) were crossing a very busy road and got run over. She lost the baby, and his brother died upon impact. We're still not sure if she's gonna live through it yet, since shes currently in hospital under care.
Sam and his other brother and sister were at mine when they got told their brothers had died, it was so wierd to watch. I feel really shitty, they're good people.

Was it a highway? Because it's pretty much legal to run people over on highways if they have "No Pedestrian" signs. Jaywalking is illegal for a reason, people really have no right crossing busy streets without a crosswalk. The worst part, and don't take this the wrong way, is gonna be when his mother lives through it... people rarely recover from losing two children by their own fault.

No it was just a busy road, not a highway.

I don't think we even have jaywalking laws in England...
Fair do's man, that sucks ass. There are a large number of busy roads in England, hell, I've lived near one all my life and I've near died a few times because of it. There needs to be more crossings and stuff.

The mother died in hospital late last night. This is all so fucked up, they're one of those nice wholesome families that really get on your nerves sometimes but they're so nice and caring. They really didn't deserve this.

I'm gonna steer clear of this topic, since i'm so full of sarcastic remarks for any situation.

Yes, life does suck. My gran and my nephew died within a month of each other.
I seem to repel cars etc. I sat in the middle of busy road without getting hit by anything and the other day some chavs tried to run me over their car swerved out of control even though the road wasn't slippery.

On a quest to the local KFC, me and my college mates had to cross several busy roads where there were no crossings right by some cop cars so, yeah.

I'm sorry, but you shouldn't dig yourself down, there's nothing you could have done. But try to relay the consolations to the remaining family members, they are the ones who'll need it.
