... just between you and me (and the rest of the crestfallen board...)

Did you just copy (and I used that word since I don't know the english word for putting an original drawing underneath a sheat and drawing over the lines, and I don't bother to look it up, and yeah in dutch we have a word for that ^_^) one of the original Final fantasy artworks as sacrificia?
That's HARDLY original...

Sorry... (And yes I can draw almost as good as rangi lately, and I'm brushing up on actually ink and pencil drawing and painting, and colouring by using photoshop (the way rangi did the sorya drawing - the nice patern on her dress  ) so don't even bother asking if I could do any better.)
If I would have a friggin' scanner (hopefully soon!) I could upload some of my finer works
If you copied it by just looking and not putting underneath the sheat of paper, then well... hardly original yet agian, but good job though.
And why am I being harsh, unlike on those cubistic things in the fan feature section? err... well... they're not even worth my typo's
oh yea, I'm so cool :D

I thought that picture looked familiar. Now that he mentions it, it does look extremely similar to one of the ol' Final Fantasy pictures.

Heck, I once took screenshots from a couple fmv's in FF8 and traced them for an art mock exam. Actually, I only traced one of them and the rest of the work (shading and composition and all) was really good, so I ended up with an A.

don't get me wrong, trace and stuff is alright if you can't draw at all and you wanna learn how to do it...
Basically if you trace enough, at a fine moment, you'll find that most of the drawings are 'in your hand', which means that you'll manage to draw them easily with just looking at a picture, because you're used at doing the same drawings over and over... I hope this makes any sense.
BUt just starting a topic with I CAN DRAW and copying something is just lame... sorry dude.

Drawing contest... see, everything does cycle around. Some just a lot slower then others.

Somone needs to alert Rangi.

Fuck that. Somebody needs to tell Holstein Cow.

I never liked Holsteins work. Maybe its because he tended toward post modernist designs. He is something of a visionary pushing boundaries that i, as a mere ammatuer as far as art appreiciation is concerned, simply cannot comprehend.
