It is now August, and, as per usual, I get to go camping for a week about 10-12 miles from where I live. Yay. Anywho, I'll be gone until next Saturday.

In crappy countries, they call vacations, holidays.

I figured as much, but I think its pretty pretentious to call your vacation a holy day, as if somehow some god of yours ordained that your vacation was a holy occasion.

I think you care less about how pretentious it is, and more about insulting the british (or sling). Which is entirely acceptable.

Actually Holy just means that it is separate from the regular.

So any non regular day could be called a holy day.

Well the place I went to was run by Evangelists (and/or other Christian type people), so does that count as a holy day? Anywho, my "vacation" (yes, I said vacation, but note it is only for people who don't understand the backward ways of the British) went quite well until the last day, becuase I somehow managed to insult the entire Sri Lankan population and bought down the wrath of 1000 unwashed Arabs upon myself in a single moment just by quoting the "You kicked my dog" thing from funny junk.com. Oh well, at least I have chicken.

well, holy literally means related to a god or gods. Though, I suppose it could mean seperate from the regular in some translations.
