Since ive noticed many accounts using pics of anime characters as their avatars, i decided to get my own!
Anyways, i've noticed the following have anime avats...
Sage - dunno who that is, but looks cool
Jera - had a series, dont know any
viola but left quick - dont know, probably from OnePiece
Impy - dunno
Hump, but doesnt matter cuz hes bant - dunno
tele - dunno
cow - dunno
burn - dunno, looks like a drawing
wellsy - dunno
Me - Itachi
aeymxq - dunno
angel - dunno
CJ - sephiroth
sarcasm - dunno
squiggy - a sign, but looks anime
reaper - dunno
well, did i miss anyone? and care to share who ur avats are...

My avatar is of Rainspider, a mercenary character from the dystopian/action/comedy/sci fi anime
Desert Punk. I highly recommend renting it/seeing it if at all possible. This particular version was from an actual avatar package I downloaded, so you might come across it in another forum (I have).
And of course, my old and most long lasting avatar was of
Il Palazzo from Excel Saga, which according to popular opinion suited me very well.
Sage's is (and has always been) Ephidel from Fire Emblem 7 (the first Fire Emblem released in the U.S.)

THAT'S WHO HE IS! Dammit! I've been trying to figure that one out...well, in a "hrm-where-have-I-seen-that-face-befo-OOOH!-lookit-that-shiny-thing" sort of sense. You know the one, where there's interest, but no motivation? Yeah...
Il Palazzo really did suit you. It was something about his smug confidence, even though you knew behind that manufactured veneer was a truly evil man.
And he had a rock band, that was bitchin. His -one- song was 'Visual' and it was incredible.

Impy is usually one of the many Link portrayals from VG cats, so not really anime.
Mines from the Ranma 1/2 manga.

How is mine hard? It has a URL in it.
I used to have Ed from FMA. And I had some non-Link VG Cats ones, like that kickass Metroid. I haven't changed my avatar in ages, though, I should find something new.
Edit: Found one.
