If it mattered that much to the character that he was gay, she should have worked something into the novels. Otherwise, it's just revisionist BS designed to make her look edgy. It would be like George Lucas saying that Leia was molested as a child. Not like I care, since I have read a grand total of 0 pages of the Harry Potter cash machine.

Posted: Sat Nov 10, 2007 2:02 pmWell there's the argument out there that JK Rowling wrote background stories for each of the characters before she wrote the first book, and therefore Dumbledore was always gay. I don't really "care" per-se, but I'd probably believe this. Either way though, doesn't change the story for anyone who isn't a HUGE homophobe. Like, "I was gonna let my son dress up as Dumbledore for Halloween, but now he can't cuz Dumby is a fag."
