MySpace is acceptable if the band is good enough.

If the band was good they wouldn't have to be on myspace.

i HATE myspace bands. Their all those crappy emo/hardcore/metalcore bands. A lot of people think metalcore and hardcore IS metal. It makes me quite angry.

Wtf is a breakdown anyway? it's just... quietness or something. How could they replace guitar solos with a long period of nothingness. Metalcore and hardcore suck.

They are good bands they've just only been going for like 6 months, apart from the last one which has been going for nearly 2 years and is close to being signed. I don't think progressive metal, death metal and black metal count as emo/metalcore bands. I think the only '-core' band I like is As Blood Runs Black becuase they actually solo and well.

Some hard/metalcore is good.

For example, Killswitch Engage are good metalcore. And Alexisonfire are post-hardcore but behind Pantera and In Flames they're my favorite band right now.

Whilst MySpace is a place where the scourge of the earth and the internets commune to dine and engage in vasrious kinds of emo faggotry, it has become a powerful tool in music promotion. Whilst the majority of bands are shit, there are the occasional gems.

There are occational diamond rings in poop, but I don't grovel in poop just for the off chance of finding a diamond ring. I'd rather just steal one.

I would seriously love to know what kind of poop you're referring to. If it's the poop of a being that eats diamond rings, I could see where you're coming from.

well, considering one of the most popular marriage proposal clichés is the old "ring at the bottom of the glass" trick, I'm sure there have been plenty of girls who just guzzled the champagne or whatever and then had to scavenge their defecations later, just like they were searching myspace for a decent band.

Once again, the wisdom of Verb is beyond measure.

Given this is a metal thread, I'm hoping what I'm about to divulge has not already been spread around...

POWER QUEST, a european-styled power metal band comprised of former Dragonforce (then Dragonheart) members. Not as fast as Dragonforce, and probably closer to bands such as Sonata Arctica and Vision Divine stylisticly. The album "Magic Never Dies" is quite good. Worth a check.

Link (lol myspace) below.
