As of this writing it has been quite a while since I talked to anyone, taking a leave of absence I now bring to the community the chance to revolutionize the gaming community (or at least ATTEMPT to, to some point). Today I downloaded a copy of RPG Maker for the PSX. Ran it off my ePSXe emulator and tried it out. To my surprise the thing is so much better then the pc version, just for the fact you can use a joystick to play games, the resolutions can be up to 1600x1200 and the color depth is I believe 32 bit, it might be 16 or 24 but it's got really nice color quality. I know some form of a way to distribute games with it, you just release the RPG Maker memory card and the game itself, together being about 15MB or so, not all that bad :). Also I know there is a way to rip the memory card and make graphics in paint, photoshop, and psp and convert them to be used in the rpg. The RPG Maker for PSX has a built in "Paint" program but it's horrible to use, therefore editing the .mcr (Memory Card) and uploading textures to it :). Also, you can upload many other formats, like music and so forth, not sure how yet but I know it's 100% possible and not hard to find out.

My goal here today is to ask who wants to be involved in the first Internet based RPG Maker project for a release at gaming world for the first time ever? There is no definitive answer of whether or not it will get to GW but im sure if the game was decent (whatever game it is we make) then they will just have to host a link and people can download it. Simple? Well yes :). Any ways, let me know what you guys think.

... Piece of junk eh? Al right you stated your op pinion man, let everyone else decide for themselves. I appreciate your op pinion although vague... Yes it has limits and yeah it isn't THE BEST THING EVER!!! :O but it's fun to play around with, just because it's on a PSX is kind of cool :)

After playing rm2k and then trying this... it wasn't that cool.
But the idea was alright its just I wish it would be a better system.

Also, if you created it solely using the psx version, wouldn't you be stuck with whatever sounds/samples/music that it was packaged with? I mean...at least with the PC version, you can probably import custom midis...er...provided you find a composer willing to work on them for ya.
