I recall heaing back in April of May that the National Weather Service thought this could be the worst hurricane season in decades. Knowing something (but not a lot) about weather forecasting, I found it very hard to believe that they could be making a statement like that. A lot of similar prognostications have come to naught in the past.

Well, in hindsight, they had pretty good foresight at the National Hurricane Center.

This may be the worst hurricane season in recorded history. Also, I get the feeling another blizzard of '96 is going to happen. If you don't know what the blizzard of '96 is......it was like having a flood of snow blocking people in their homes.
