Try to find out if they use deoderant. My friends say they don't. They also say that they don't bathe.

They don't use deodorant. Their bathing is better than English though. Only the US is huge on being super cleanly.

I hope your French is better than indicated by typing "au revoir" as one word... I have no idea how much English European countries speak. Except in the UK.

How many more stereotypes are we going to see in this little parade?

Oh, I know, how about : "Fitz should declare war while he's there, they'll surrender and he'll have his own country to run"?

I can take a joke as well as the next guy, and then some, but you guys are spouting this stuff as if it was canon law or something.

Allow me to debunk a few myths : French people bathe regularly, although like everywhere you will come across a dirtbag or two. And they do use deodorant. Ever hear of "eau de cologne"? Sure, it isn't for armpits, but we have that too. French people aren't any more hostile to english-speaking tourists than anyone else. However, as always when abroad, it's nice to start with whatever bits and pieces of national language you can put together. It breaks the ice, and makes people want to help you out.

Now for the truths : many female armpits are hairy, but fortunately not all ; many females are nymphomaniacs, but unfortunately not all... 8)

Where are you going exactly Fitz? If you're in Bordeaux, let me know, we'll go have a drink. Although you'll probably be staying in Paris if you're only here for a few days.

I never believed that the French were as smelly as my friends all assumed. In fact, I want to date a French girl at one point in my life. Cuz French accents are hot. :P

I find most accents either pompous and whiney or retarded and bushesque.

Bushesque isn't even a real word! And how can someone be boastful AND whiney? "Oh, I'm better than you. What? You disagree? C'mon! PLEASE say I'm better than you! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!"
That doesn't happen very often. I believe what you just did was "double talk." Using big words to make yourself seem smarter.

Uh... pompous and whiney would be the way the voice sounds, not how the person actually speaks. Of course bushesque isn't a word (in the dictionary) but we know what it means. And uh... none of those were actually big words.
