Okay porter, I need a melody for this. I'm thinking this kind of pace for the chorus:

I hope you realize that 4/4 time is four beats per measure and a 1/4 note gets one count....correct me if im crazy - er... wrong, but it seems some are gonna be 6/4 or you are going to have a 2 count pause. If you need to maintain the time sig of 4/4, do so....I'd like to give it a try if you dont mind. Gimme a day or so, lemme get my sax from school, and i can get you a good tune...for an ameture ......goddamn hard to spell word

he means individual notes. He's just singing what he wants. In fact he probably has a melody in his head he just matched to that.

Yes I have a melody, and yes i've noticed that it's crewed up a bit, but then it doesn't really sound according to those notes... blarhg, I'll let porter fit sometihng up and see how it is then give some guidelines for improvement to fit the lyrics

Wirlich? Schade! Es tut mir leid (that's 'really? damn. It pleases me not' in German) I kinda understood halfway through the post, but I thought it was just the sleep deprivation...>_>...but still...I even out a melody and the lyrics seem to work with it....

er wait....are those like the actually beat/rhythm? or are those the notes he posted, i.e. half step, whole step, etc. *blink* er....mebbe I'll think of something in my spare time as far as melody. I tend to write a lot of gloomy/melancholy sounding stuff.

*added* er....is it okay to play around with some of the rhythms a little? It feels kinda like some of the lines don't quite fit with the words in my head...but maybe i'm crazy hehe.
