Is it nature or caution?

This question may have been posed, so I'm sorry for a repeat.

Is it Nature or Caution that keeps somebody from touching the fire? If I touch the fire, I will learn from my mistake. But what if I didn't touch the fire; that I already knew what I'd learn from my mistake? Debate.

Caution, you ever see a cat jump into a mirror? They don't do it twice.

Caution, an advantage we humans have on animals is that if someone touches the fire, he won't do it anymore AND tell everyone he knows not to do it, so with just one burned a lot of people learn.

But nature is what kept me away from the big dog. It's what kept me away from the chemical closet (whew!).

This type of thing is caution. The real question of this kind is nurture versus nature. If a kid is born from a bad family, but raised by a good one, will he be bad anyway? I think everyone has tried to touch fire. Even if they were like 2. They see it, they reach for it, the bawl their eyes out. Then they become pyrophobic.
See, that's why parents were invented. For when you are two and you want to touch fire. That's basically the only reason the kids invented them. Haha, that reminds me of Codename: Kids Next Door. They talked about how kids made adults to keep order, but the adults took over with their power of "time out." Something like that.

What about the fact that it is our nature to be cautious about things that cause us pain on a conscious level?
