Yes. They are the same thing indeed. I guess no one in North America knows what a Lynx is.
For reiteration...

Just for the record, I want you to know I hold the highest regards for someone of your calibur. Sadly, your calibur is the mostest minimalest of all caliburs, so it's okay for you to be the top and bottom of said calibur.
I have seen the axe effect. I have lived the Axe effect. At some point, I was the Axe effect. The Axe effect is a very rare occurance and must be held as one of the fondest memories if one experiences or even witnesses the Axe effect in action.
Although I have not seen an application of any degree where the scent remains strong throughout the entire day, let alone after 4 hours, I haven't seen what the new version is capable of.
For the record, the Axe effect can be described as an unusually high degree of female attention and/or attraction most likely due to one's enhanced and improved scent. Note that a similar effect may be caused by the application of a more expensive cologne of sorts.
With a high amount of application of the "Axe" Bodyspray, a stronger and longer-lasting effect is the result. I have tested and proved this correct through experience.
"But does it have limitations?" one might ask. "Does it matter which girl I'm with?" another could inquire.
For the first one, I would say that Axe is best compared to a Baseball Bat. While the player could always steal a base, and slowly but surely proceed through all the bases, or the player could use a baseball bat and score a home run. It is an enhancer of an ability, not a creator.
For the other, I shall say that it might differ from person to person, but I have seen 3 girls of varying ethnicity all become infatuated with where a wonderous air was emanating from, only to discover me as that source. At the time, I was mixing two fragerences together to produce a, in simple terms, "really badass" odor and had succeeded.
But I digress, one may be mocked (although I have not) for giving in to the televsion ads and trying a product. If you wish to try such a thing (which I highly reccommend), I wish to inform you they also have deodorant sticks available on the market as well as the spray.
And now for the C-unit and Blaksun "user friendly" version of the above: DOODS!!1! Thsi liek toatyl rooxxr0z!1!one!1 U shood get dis shti now!

I'm pretty sure the Axe Tsunami has been on the market for quite a while before the tsunami happened, though I'm not absolutely positive because I never buy it(I'm quite pleased with the results of Chrome, Perceive, and Curve).

It's a word. This thread is not funny. Why don't you post the band Scorpions everytime someone dies from a hurricane?
