I know its a bit late, but about the death bit, a lesson in my english class comes to mind. While reading othello, Roderigo, a supporting character that was betrayed by the antagonist, is mortally wounded by the antagonist. Several MINUTES later, after moaning a bunch, it finally says [Roderigo dies], thus proving unless it is clearly depicted, they dont die instantly.

Yeah, the only people that are definatly dead (under that definition) are Lexus and Lyrra, even Sacrifa could still be alive, you never actually see him die. But with lun you never know what might happen next. Who knows who might end up dead or still alive.
