Also, the ghost horror dident drive Lyrra insane, she allready was. It, and Scatha, just turned it into a diffrent kind of insane, you know. The one where you start chopping random peoples heads off and saying it's not your fault.

Whether it drove her insane or not is a very important question in the game at this point, because it relates to the nature of the magic swords. Do they merely follow the characters of their owners, drawing out and enhancing those people's deepest drives? Or do the swords force their bearers into particular modes, without respect for a person's innate character?

The shadow swords seem to maginfy whatever emotion the user curently has.(Anyone who has played Golden Sun will remember the trees that went crazy because of how those stones magnified there hate, same consept here)

Traziun's Quote pretty much proves that, because of his vast knowledge of the swords he probably wouldn't just make somthing like that up, so its most likly true
And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

Traziun's a smart guy, but there's clearly a lot he doesn't know (like what happened to his mother) or isn't sure of (like the nature of the Purpose). He might or might not be correct in this case. Gaius statement that the shadow sword is driving Rhue toward evil might be taken as a contrary opionion (but then again, Traziun's and Gaius' statement are not explicitly inconsisent, and Gaius does not seem like he's being completely honest in that encounter).

I just don't see Traziun saying something like that if he doesn't really know.(Plus we know how Lun loves to forshadow and give small hints) Traziun and Gaius could both be right, the swords only reflect the users emotions and the sword made Rhue kill Lyrra because of his emotions.(Or Gaius is just saying it to gat the sword.)

Traziun may not be an objective observer in this matter. His own father's possession of a shadow sword may have slanted his perspective. Traziun hates his father enough to want Kalmar's behavior to at least partially the old man's own fault. Yet he simultaneously doesn't want to believe that his dad was really as hideous a monstrousity as the dark lyn deep down. This makes his idea about the shadow sword very convenient. That way, it's Kalmar's fault that he's a jerk, but it's actually the weapon's fault that Kalmar's behavior has become so profoundly evil.

Hmm... Good point, but even if thats why Traziun said that, I still think The swords reflect emotions. I also think that Shadow Swords are the Illumatti, and it depends on the users intentions.(And i'm also open the the possibility of all of my ideas being wrong, most of this stuff can only be guessed right now any way)

EDIT- 100th post!
