Ok check this:
in many games there's been given a reason as to where the monsters come from: star ocean 2-> they came thanks to the sorcerer stone.
Final fantasy 8 ->lunar cry dropped them on the planet. Final Fantasy 9-> the evil mist (forgot its name) created it as is the case in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (ok i'm an ff fanboy sue me I've got a wide collection of rpg's but these are the most easy to make my point with)...
I hope most of you see where i'm going with this...
If there is such a thing as the rolling mists, then maybe it spawns the evil creatures that we had to battle... Not all of it can be simple fauna of the wild... It might also hint as to what made the wolves appear that attacked Rhue in his story... They are unlike anything we've battled so far and the only times we hear wolf howling is in Lide as background noise... This might signify that the whole landorin massacre could be the rolling mists passing and destroying everything in its path... why were lyrra and jed saved? because they were not with the others... Its a decent theory I think... that would also explain why the end of the way isn't where it was supposed to be anymore...

where exacltly was the end of the way supposed to be?

i thought that it was just an endless trek around the whole world and that was why i was suprised that rhue was suprised to see that he had arrived back at landorin in 5.
if they had been travelling all this time they would of circled the globe a few times because its supposed to be hundreds of years that they've all been "wandering".

This is a remark after finishing episode 3 once more:
The dream where kloe ends up looks like a part of a skywalkway with a tower sticking out of some clouds in the distance... check the map it's called the grounds... What do you make of it? could this be the fabled upper way....?
