Episode 4 Help

I'm in the house where you follow the woman into in Estrana, and I've opened doors and stuff, and there are these papers, which I can't reach. How do I get those, if they're important. If not, how do I find the passageway dealie?

Pick up the stool near the entry and use it to reach the papers.
