The story is interesting, mysterious and features characters unlike most other RPGs who feature more generic, cliche type characters.

I, for one, loved the gameplay. The materia system goes much much deeper than you might think theb first time you play through. Unfortunately, not many people explored the many different strategies and materia combinations simply because the game is far too easy (something almost every game suffers from these days, even The Way).

And you can't deny FF7 has some of THE BEST video game music ever composed.

Having said that, there are also things FF7 misses to make it a truly perfect game, but I fail to come up with any at this time.

My favorite video game ever is Xenosaga Episode 1. It resembles The Way in many ways and has captivated since I started playing it. That's a game I call perfect (or as perfect as something human-made can be).

Please don't flame me for my opinion, even though I seem to be in the minority concerning FF7.

And yes, I cried when Aeris died.

I cried too, I went outside to put garbage out so my mom and dad wouldn't see me crying ;)

I enjoyed Aeris dying, I think she was an annoying little whore.

I have the PC version of FF7, and since all the movies are stored in avi, or mpeg, or something, I can watch that one as much as I want!

I hated her too. Annoying hag.

Idiot.

"OH MY. WE HUMANS ARE SO AWFUL. WE KILL EACH OTHER AND MAKE WARS. YOU DON'T SEE ANIMALS DOING THAT. AND SINCE ANIMALS HAVE NO BRAINS AND NO LOGICAL REASONING, THEY MUST BE RIGHT."

No. Humans are fine. It's stupid people like you, who are in fact suicidal whether you realize it or not, that bring down humanity. Yes, we make wars, but do you see us rolling around in the mud and eating each others shit? Well, I'm talking about most of humanity here. Just because we fight, doesn't mean we're awful awful awful creations and we should all be banished to hell. And who are you to say that something human-made can't be perfect. Do you speak for every human being on earth? I think not. Bastard.

Oh yes, and I never played FFVII. Use the Roman numerals. It makes you seem less like trailer trash.
