I'm going to be brutally honest, just so you know. Your chipsets don't match eachother or the charset. The charset is poorly sprited and doesn't have enough detail or character to be more than an NPC. Your mapping is ok, but I suggest trying not to line up two objects, like the logs in the last one. It looks unnatural. As for the fog, I'd suggest using an actual texture rather than the screen colour change you have now. Finally, I'll be really blunt, I hate your faceset; you should try to mimic the RTP style imo, otherwise you're going to have trouble making all the NPCs, besides, it's not a great style, honestly. If you need any help with graphics, I'm always up for it.

I don't like the charset, the backgrounds are good other than the third though, which seems a bit bare.

The question is how. I can:

1) Take it from the Way, and basically be the same interface and such.
2) Code it from hand, and design a new interface. Keep in mind, due to the complexity of the plunge, it'll be dumbed down.

I'm leaning to choice 2, but I'll let you guys decide. :?

Kind of a late reply, I know, however I'd suggest making your own. Take your time and learn your variables, and not only will you make something you can be moderately proud of in RM2K you'll get a better understanding of its inner workings and you'll be able to create things of your own in the future should you ever opt to make your own original game.
