I think we will learn more about Gaius's psychic abilitie's since he had a 'vision' when Kloe touched him...

I also think Gaius will try to save Rhue, but Rhue won't let him have the sword and Gaius trys to take it from him but Rhue will kill him or something...

Ok I've seen some pretty good theories, among the best is that Alan is the PS. Actually if you hadn't already figured out the PS is Cetsa, or Dancing Violet as she may be better know. How do I know this? Aside from scripting the whole damn thing I left in some hints for you. First and foremost what does Slade say before he "Kills" Cetsa? It's one thing that he is sure is just. Slade knows that Cetsa is a heartless killer and he just wants to put her down.

Slade of course didn't actually kill Cetsa, Lyra is still about alive as they come too. Don't be suprised if you see those two in a battle in episode six along with Kloe.

Arite what's the deal with Gaius? Obviously he's not what he appears, he's not compasionate, he's not a good guy, he's a real bastard trying to get Rhue's sword. This was one of many hidden anti-homosexual messages I placed in "The Way" series. Evidencing the fact that Gaius is in fact a flamer is his inhuman "sensitivities." His feelings are too atuned, certainly he's gay, and gay guys are always trying to get at your "Shadow Sword" if you know what I mean. And if that's not enough check out the name- GAY-US. Gaius is trying to turn everyone Gay.

Uhh What's with Rhue's hallucinations? Gaius is poisioning him, he's trying to put him in a weakened emotional state so he can queer him up. He's trying to steal his heterosexual Identity and replace it with a homosexual one. Or "Aura" as I term it in the game.

If you remember the little incident with Jopaga you may remember that Rhue absorbs Auras through his sword. In otherwords Rhue's identity is formed by the events and experiences he uses his phallus to percieve. Rhue is the quintessential adolescent. He's experiencing new things via his "Sword," he's gained more strength than he knows how to deal with and acts irresponsibly on instinct.

"The Way" is just a coming of age story in the tradition of FLCL.

The only question left is this: Will Rhue learn to control the great power he has gained via his "sword." Or will he allow an older man claiming good intentions (Gaius) to control his "sword" and pervert his soul forever.

This may be a little off topic... but, Scatha is Slade's sister right?

If I'm not mistaken, we were shown a cut scene with the mother scolding the child's face with fire. (Ep 5) Anyone know for sure?

Well, it's not known for 'sure'. But, its a damn good guess.

Anyone consider that Lyrra might have been adopted by Jed, etc. after the massacre? I have little or nothing in the way of actual quotes from the game, but it's definitely possible (if completely unmentioned) that her family quickly moved after the killings.

If you remember, in the flashback family, the younger daughter "died" because the older one didn't look after her. She might have been accused of not looking after her because the younger one snuck off into the massacre, and there's some evidence to show that Scatha (or whatever her actual name is) and Slade are related, largely because of the whole thing about Scatha's face being disfigured.

This falls into place, though, because of what she says to Slade the last time they meet, in which he says something about killing her, and she says something along the lines of "You already have once." Additionally, the brother is told to throw the sister into the Pits, Scatha says that she came from the Pits, and she doesn't trust people. Finally, Slade wakes up saying the end of whatever you said to the flashback family, lending some small amount of credibility to that scene as being real.

Conversely, however, this whole theory could also be used to give some more relatives to Serena, but did it say anywhere if she had any brothers or sisters?

Either that or Lyrra's brother could have been Midian or somebody, and his dead spirit might be the Phantom Slasher.

I believe it did say she was adopted. It's been a long time since I've played the first few episodes, but I think it was mentioned that after the massacre she was taken in by Jed. Of course for her to have a family at all after the massacre means she had to be adopted because only two people made it out if memory serves... which most normally it doesn't.

Also on that same line, If we know for sure Lyrra made it out, and that two people escaped, if the flashbacks Rhue had about the two darkened people and getting his sword are true, then might it be that he's not counted as the second person? Of course the whole two people thing could just be an elaborate dream I had and in that case I will have babbled on about nothing. In that case, ignore me.
