how do you know which is the correct plural for their organisation? I'd use feet.

Strata always struck me as about 3 years older than rhue, something like that

Foot is a singular word. That really wasn't the argument you should have used. But even if you used the right one... I'll fucking stab myself in the balls before I use "Shadow Foots".

I hope somebody saved that convo Sage mentioned.

I did, it just didn't occur to me that I should have posted it... Well, here it is, took out some of the off topic stuff:

<Glenn> Rhue is like 18.
<Inderos> We don't know that for sure.
<Glenn> Cetsa is older than Rhue, so is Kloe.
<Glenn> Lyrra is 17.
<Inderos> If Kloe is older than Rhue, then so is Gaius.
<Glenn> Slade is about 19 or 20
<Glenn> Gaius is much older
<OoS> Dirk is 112.
<Glenn> like a hundred years
<Inderos> If Lyrra is 17, Rhue is about the same age.
<Glenn> yeah, Rhue is 18
<Glenn> That can actually be a month apart, if you think about it.
<Inderos> What about Traziun?
<SageOfTheWise> was Scatha older or younger then Slade?
<Glenn> older, I believe
<Glenn> yes
<Glenn> definately
<Glenn> cuz Scatha was being tormented when Slade was a child.
<Glenn> and her a teen
<Glenn> I don't know her age
<Inderos> Strata is probably 17.
<Glenn> No way.
<SageOfTheWise> Slade was old enough to get rid of her though
<Glenn> Older than Rhue.
<Glenn> I THINK Jer once said that Rhue was 18-ish
<SageOfTheWise> Strata seems to be about 19 or 20
<Inderos> Nah, I always got the impression that Strata was some punk kid, younger than Rhue.
<Glenn> Well, that's an impression.
<Glenn> This is fact.
<Glenn> Fact, that I base on nothing.
<Glenn> Mostly MY impression. :)
<Jeramyu> Strata described Rhue as being in his early 20s
<Glenn> dang
<Inderos> Anyways, I have to go. Marlee just called and wants to get a bite to eat.
<Glenn> See, I guessed at every age.
<Glenn> But Lyrra seems 17.
<SageOfTheWise> yeah
<Impossible`> Just looking back at something that was said a little while ago...
<Impossible`> <Glenn> Slade is about 19 or 20 - Are you fucking kidding? Slade in the late 20's, if not 30's.
<Glenn> Yes, I am fucking kidding.
<Glenn> Don't need to swear to seem smarter.
<Impossible`> I doubt 19-20 year-olds get hired as Shadow Feet (Foots is just retarded).
<Glenn> :)
<Exiled> <Impossible`> I doubt 19-20 year-olds get hired as Shadow Feet (Foots is just retarded). -- Blood Lyn are.*
<Impossible`> Blood Lyn are raised and trained as Blood Lyn.
<Impossible`> Shadow Feet are more like mercenaries, only Slade just works for the government.
<OverlordBill> Impossible. Exiled. Stop talking about the game that the community is based around.
<Exiled> Still can't rule out that he could be so young.
<Impossible`> It's immediately obvious when you see Slade that he has a lot of experience.
<Impossible`> Yes, I can.
<Exiled> Show me a fact where it shows he's so old.
<Impossible`> Once again, there's no way that Estrana's top fighters would be less than 25 years old.
<Glenn> Why not?
<Impossible`> Slade has a LOT of experience
<Impossible`> Lun even conveys this straight away with the scars, giving the impression he's been through a lot of battles.
<Exiled> could be a prodigy
<Impossible`> He's clearly older than most of the main characters.
<Impossible`> I think it would have been mentioned if he were. Slade has probably been a Shadow Foot for years, too.
<Impossible`> Thinking realistically for a moment here, 19-20 is quite young.
<Impossible`> Slade even looks older than that.
<Exiled> I'd say just a slight bit older.
<Exiled> but not as far as late 20s
<Exiled> but still.
<Exiled> still not enough proof.
<Impossible`> He just seems older and more experienced to me.
<Exiled> Rhue beat him.
<Impossible`> There's enough proof for anyone who's paying attention.
<SageOfTheWise> i thought he was around 27-29
<Impossible`> As if that's evidence of anything.
<Exiled> opinion
<Jeramyu> I'd bet late 20s early 30s
<Impossible`> Rhue has a crazy sword.
<Exiled> Yes he does
<Impossible`> Rhue DIDN'T even beat him, he was losing and his sword saved him.
<Exiled> depends on the character <.<
<Exiled> and I know you pulled a 4th degree like I did.
<Impossible`> 19-20 year olds are NOT "battle-worn".
<Impossible`> <Exiled> I would say through lack of experience would of gotten those scars also. - Slade does NOT look young or inexperienced at all. He's a fucking Shadow Foot.
<Exiled> lol
<Exiled> he's a sprite
* Rei has joined #theway
<Exiled> doesn't look like crap
<Jeramyu> he looks old
<Jeramyu> er
<Exiled> in a matter of speaking
<Jeramyu> he seems like the hard-ass been on the job forever type
<Exiled> he works hard for his money
<Impossible`> He has a face, too.
<Exiled> I agree he's in his mid 20s
<Exiled> just...
<Glenn> So, Dungeons and Dragons.
<Exiled> not enough to rule it out
---
and then we sort of trailed into a converation about D&D...
And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

How can Glenn change the topic of conversation in four words, but I can't at all?

And to DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS no less?

Lyrra and Rhue seem to be about the same age, or maybe Lyrra is a little younger. And at this point it's just stupid to think Slade could even be younger than 25. He looks older, he acts older, he has a lot more experience, and he's a Shadow Foot (which is completely different to how Blood Lyn work).

Well, lets not forget the mother of Slade and Scatha could cast fireballs. Who else has done that? Why didn't she get rid of Scatha herself? Slade really seemed at the most 2 years older.. I think Slade has some sort of really odd upbringing, not just a horrible mother, but some sort of really advanced training. Everyone seems to go - he's a shadow foot. That means he's tough. Rhorn didn't strike me as the Slade-type character.. what about you? Haha, to quote the WW..
"Respect has nothing to do with how long you've been on this earth, but you're probably too young to understand that!" Heh.

It may be that Slade's mother just hurled a burning piece of wood from the fireplace in that scene... I don't really remember. >_<

Most stories have a devious way of everything being relevant in the end. But this story isn't like all others..

Oh, I knew it said Shadow Foots, but Shadow Foot for plural is still wrong, and "Foots" is the most retarded word since "teeths" or "mouses". And none of them ARE words.

If there was more than one person with the username Impossible, then you would call those people Impossibilities, you'd call them Impossibles.

What is the lesson for today? Pronouns are teh special words

Names are different than objects.

If your last name was Mouse, then your friends wouldn't say: The mice, they'd say the mouses.

Shadow Foot isn't a name, though. If Slade's name were Slade Foot and Scatha was Chasta Foot then I'd call them the Foots, but they're not. A computer mouse is different to a rodent mouse, but they're still both called mice. The same should apply to Shadow Feet.

Shadow Foot IS a name you yobbo. Just because it has the word Foot doesn't mean it has to be changed to Feet when it goes plural.
