That's what I'm thinking... although they're still conjoined some how...

I think the Phantom Slasher either got outside somehow or already was outside.

I like my Fight Club based theory about Rhue (You know, the unconcious thing) and remember that if its accurate, then Rhue's perceptions would be twisted so what he saw when he was alone might not have been completely accurate. Perhaps HE smashed the cell door open or whatever.

I like that theory... I still gotta see that movie sometime...

But wait, the PS broke the door from the outside...

Like I said in the post, it may have only SEEMED that way. Heck, all the shadowy characters who aren't revealed could be figments of Rhue's imagination and in reality it looks like he's fighting air. Again, if anyone here as seen Fight Club, at one point the guy thought he was in a crowd of people when in fact he was in the center of the crowd who had gathered around him. After all, is the game not for the most part from Rhue's perception?

I believe that we shall find that giaus is the PS. He fits the profile and did anyone else notice that he always managed to dissappear right before the PS showed up?.....right from the very beginning i knew that it couldn't have been Rhue though......very first scene when rhue goes up to learn the basics of the Plunge the PS shows up from the bottom left side of the screne......and Giaus mentions that he and Rhue had killed someone together? suspicious to me but hey just a theory.

My cuzin said that maybe the shadow sword that Rhue has could create a shadow of himself. he also said that when Traziun is gonna see whos the person who killed his mother he thought maybe it was the PS, and he thinks its Rhue so he thinks thats why he said NO WAY!!!!

I agree that you could build a convincing case for Gaius being the Phantom Slasher. You could do the same for Rhue if you use the Jopagga theory that someone already mentioned. Whoever is the PS likes Rhue enough to give him Slade's sword auras, so I think the PS would have to be one of these two characters, or maybe Scatha. But that's a big maybe.

The only problem with that theory is that Rhue is not always asleep, such as the very first appearance when Rhue leaves the camp of three in episode 1, and when Rhue and Traziun are entering the dark cave. I'm going with Gaius.

The only problem with that theory is that Rhue is not always asleep, such as the very first appearance when Rhue leaves the camp of three in episode 1, and when Rhue and Traziun are entering the dark cave. I'm going with Gaius.

Yeah, but again, he wasn't always unconcious in the said movie either. When he was concious, he might even see the guy. If he was unconcious, he would have no clue of what the guy had done. Plus, we don't know for sure if Rhue was still awake when those three were killed, as Rhue was off-scene and the next scene after that was during the morning/day.

Hey, I'm saying it can't be Gaius, because that does also make sense, but other theories are possible.

I wonder if Lun made the scenes where Rhue sees the Phantom Slasher almost kind of... "symbolic." Like when Rhue sees him for the first time, maybe he was going to kill everyone in the tent... but then just woke up suddenly(or aura suddenly reverted back to Rhue)... And when the door was busted down maybe he busted down the door, but then the same thing happened... the oddest thing about that scene is that you walk out and Scatha, Dirk, and Cesta act totally casual... Like they didn't see a thing and don't even ask how Rhue escaped.

if you look closely at the face of the PS it matches exactly the silhouette of Giaus....and looks similar to Rhue but not quite.....go back and look closely at it and you will see.....all the hair fits perfectly for Giaus and no one else......and the rest of him fits perfectly as well the closest to the silhouette after Giaus is Trazium........Take a close look..........So there's my proof for my afore mentioned theory.

Yeah... I noticed that too... but maybe the Phantom Slasher(I think it's Rhue) messed up his hair.

You know, if Rhue had an illuminati, maybe that created the phantom slasher. Maybe each sword (shadow / illuminati) requires a certain part of the person that wields it to be brought to the fore. The other part is "stripped away". For instance, if someone were to take a shadow sword, then their Phantom Slasher equivalent would be someone perfect and pure... kind of like a Harbringer, in a sense, a person of perfect justice.

However, when Rhue got the Illuminati, the part that was "stripped away" were his most basic instincts to kill and to hurt anything and anyone... I'm not saying that the swords make someone TOTALLY evil / pure-hearted (as Rhue is hardly perfect), but they strip away the absolute extreme.

Or not.

another thought that comes to me though i'm not sure if this has been mentioned before....i believe that Kloe is Cerena.....my reasoning for this being........Her discusion with Traziun about him pulling hr out of the river.....Her memories when she falls in the water in #5 .........but again just a theory
