I ment that Traziun could find him, don't know if hed bring him along. Also I don't think it shows wht happend to Dirk or Scatha, they dissapered that night in the forest, and that was the last you saw of them.

Dirk and Scatha's dissapearance was weird. They needed Rhue to get to Tetzel, but they left him for Gaius, but there're nowhere near Gaius.

I sort of figured that after Rhue and Gaius finished their confrontation, Rhue would connect with Dirk and Scatha again. Gaius may have deliberatedly gone so fast that only Rhue could keep up, because he wanted them to have a tete-a-tete.

We know one thing for sure: Gaius brought him there for one pretty big reason. Gaius also knew that Rhue knows about that place, so Gaius had to have a connection

maybe, maybe not...

no one knows what lun thinks...and he himself may not know at times as well...when he's dozing, I guess

what was I talking about?
Fading into the night,
The scourge of fear, the blight.
Upon this land beneath the sky.
Echoes of the past decry.

Actually, doesn't Gaius claim to be surprised that they're not at the End of the Way (whatever that is)? So maybe he didn't lead Rhue to Landorin (or wherever that place really is) intentionally, although Gaius does seem to know the significance of the location.

Since we're tossing around ideas that have nothing to do with the thread subject, here's a little tidbit :

In E2, on the first night in Lide, after you sign up for the tourney, there's this "important conversation" (that's the event name) coded in there so that you can't avoid it.

Now, while some interesting and well-discussed info on the killings is given there (no theft, no children etc.), one bit seems to have been completely overlooked. The conversation pretty much ends when Traziun says, more or less : "I seem to remember something similar happening, a while back." To which Rhue replies "...".

Traziun probably knows damn well who the PS is, or at least he does by E4 or E5. Interesting, since he has no qualms about hanging around Rhue during this period, but you never ever see him around Gaius anymore (well, except when he seemed to be stalking him/Rhue/Kloe in the Estrana market).

In any case, this must be a memory from Traziun's childhood for it to be "a while back". So it must go back to his Blood Lyn days. The only characters he seems to have known before leaving were Gaius and Kloe.
Not that the PS absolutely has to be one of the characters we know of course.

In any case, thoughts?

I figured that Rhue at least (and possibly Traziun as well) were thinking of the Landorin massacre here.

Alternatively, it could be related to one of the earlier hazards on The Way, a topic that one of the people in Estrana claims to be researching.

Well, he has other good reasons for avoiding Gaius. He knows Gaius is Kalmar's perfect blade. Traziun should certainly have a good idea of what the perfect blade is supposed to do, so I imagine he knows whether the perfect blade is the Phantom Slasher. I'm not so sure he knows who the Phantom Slasher is, if it's not Gaius; there are a lot of important things he doesn't know, after all. In fact, he's quite shocked by what Kalmar shows him at the end. Even if that vision was false, it shows there are important things that Traziun would like to know, but doesn't.

Anyone notice Kalmar's final words "You and I will become one"? Interesting.

It would be hard not to notice. :)

I don't think he meant it literally, in the sense that he was going to take over Traziun's body or that theit auras would merge. Rather, I think that Kalmar believed that whatever he showed to Traziun would drive the son to beocome like unto the father.

For this reason (in addition to the fact that Traziun is now incredible powerful), I don't think Traziun will be a playable character anymore. There's a good chance Rhue will plunge him to the death in episode 6 or 7.

Yeah, whenever a character in a video game becomes uber-powerful, you won't get them back unless you become even more powerful in which case you won't need them anymore. Sucks, doesn't it?

I think the uber-powerful thing was just to allow the player to take on some 20 Lyn and not under-power them. Remember Rhue totally owned the Lyn in Delhara and I REMEMBER seeing some Dark Lyn among them. (There were a lot of lyn, and he supposedly killed them ALL!)

There was 1 darklyn. But I think Traziun still took on more overall, at the same time. Plus, he didn't need some assumed nonexsistant cutscene to kill them.

True, but we can safetly say Rhue isn't that far off as compared to Traz. Numbers in a game mean NOTHING to the plot.

Rhue is definitely getting to be one of the most powerful individuals on The Way. If you have a reasonable built-up character, it's no challenge at all to make mincemeat out of the great plunger Strata. Plus, the cutscenes certainly count as demonstrations of his battle prowess.

Of course, there are lingering questions about how much of the power is actually Rhue's and how much comes from his sword. It would appear to be the sword that impales the mighty Slade, after all, needing only minimal help from the wielder.
