A man in the bar at Lide mentions that for some reason the PS leaves children alone. Rhue, of course, was only a child when he got his blade.

It's only a rough correlation, but consider this: It's often theorized that the PS is some sort of aura or is part of Rhue somehow. This argument is strengthened by Gaius's believe that Rhue is the PS. Maybe the blade given to Rhue was somehow tainted after being in the possession of whoever owned it before him, giving the PS an spiritual medium from which he can manifest himself and leading Gaius to sense the PS whenever Rhue is around.

This theory of course has NEVER been stated before.

This one's already been done before, but it's creditible nonetheless.

Different Sprites, so I doubt it. The Phantom Slasher is Rhue's sprite, just Shadowed out, which give credibility to what Gaius thinks, which may well be right.

Rhue or Rhue's aura is most likely the Phantom Slasher.

Jesus, if you're going to give theories that have been discussed a million times before, at least back them up with evidence and add some ideas of your own. Somewhere on a topic in Estrana I posted a big long discussion I had with Roman, mostly about the PS, which was actually quite interesting (and helped me realise a few things which in a way I knew but hadn't thought of). I recommend you read that.

No its not. The side views are Gaius's sprite and the front and back aren't anyones, exept maby an edited sprite of Rhue.

Correct. The face set IS Gaius's too. But that doesn't mean it's him, although I thought it was him since Episode 2 on my first playthrough...I used to think that Gaius was the Phantom Slasher (may be true) and that he didn't kill Rhue because he saved him when he was hurt at the cave. But now with all the other good theories, that one doesn't seem that good.

The faceset isn't Gaius's, it just looks similar because of the Hair.

My familiarity with the theories already stated is drawn from only a passing glance.
