Gaius, again.

Gaius being the PS would make a lot of sense, really. He manipulates the rebel guided, then kills them. He leads Kalmar to believe he is being controlled, and it has worked. Everyone thinks he's a rebel. I was thinking Gaius could be Tetzel, have god-like powers - like being able to 'reconsider' a wanderer's position on the way, and sensing. He may be some sort of super-human, and he thinks it gives him the right to judge what is right, and what is wrong, he may be the book of sermot and eve too. It's clear that he does know Rhue has done something with him, and he doesn't want Rhue to remember. Maybe now that he knows Rhue can't remember, Rhue can no longer expose the truth. I know this has been discussed before, but maybe he has two auras? One is afraid the other will manipulate the powers he has, the other kills rarely. Gaius could truely believe that Rhue is the PS, and doesn't realise that he, himself has become what he always dispised.
I know most people have theoried Gaius = Perfect blade, but I think he couldn't be manipulated by anyone at all, he's the brain behind the Rebels, and the brain that stopped them too
"Something's eating in to.. my head!" Rhue did this to Slade.. didn't he? I've seen Gaius look in to people's minds, but Rhue and Kalmar seem to be able to actually talk to them there?

You already had a Gaius discussion topic...
The Guided and Blood Lyn are mortal enemies. It makes perfect sense that Kalmar would use his perfect blade, Gaius, to destroy the Guided from within as he is.
It's almost certainly Gaius because Traziun mentions the other Delhara escapee being the perfect blade - and we know Gaius was Kloe's Blood Brother who ran away (all from E4), and he was never chased down by the Blood Lyn.
Gaius being the PS and not knowing it has been discussed before, but it's definitely something worth exploring some more...

I personally think Rhue is going to have another quest again. Right before Gaius is going to explain about why he's the PS Traziun is going to come and knock him into the river (notice Gaius and Rhue's positions). When Rhue tries to fight Traziun, he will knock him out, but not kill him because he was Rhue's friend. After that, he'll be searching for Gaius as well as Serena. This also fits in with the 'The Way repeats' theory.

That makes a lot of sense too, but Traziun keeps going "It is the only way.." I think he will run after Gaius, in order to find Serena and then not realise he's repeating himself.

Glad to see my "Gaius is the perfect blade manipulating the Guided" theory caught on
BTW, if you notice in EP2, on the stretch where he's collapsed by the bridge, if you try and climb the ridge, Traziun directs you to Gaius by a specific noise.
A loud, sharp, groaning.
What does Gaius hear shortly before he says "Duty calls" and runs off in Lide?
Another sharp groan, abeit shorter.
It sounds a lot like the Blana Sera's groans when they talk. Kalmar makes a similar noise whenever he appears or reverts from Black Lyn to his normal form. This could signify that at those points, Gaius was reverting/changing his form.
To what? The Phantom Slasher, maybe?

We can at least use the sound in Lide to support the already likely fact of Gaius being the perfect blade, if that's Kalmar's call...

hmmm... i never thought of it that way....
I dont think Rhue could beat Traziun though... it would probably be one of those battles you cant win.....
(you know what would be cool.... a face-off between Gaius and Traziun....
Yea that would be awesome...)

Well if you look at Traz's stats in Ep1, he has 300hp and 11 plunge.
Perfect for an unkillable guy who won't beat you right away

I just checked his stats, and his HP seem to be at 200 and his Plunge at 8. Honestly, I hope he was just going easy on Rhue or something, I'd be disappointed if he was weaker than Strata without Night Reaper.

Whoops, my bad. Yeah.
Well, I'm guessing he was going easy on Rhue considering that Rhue admitted he sucked.
The 200 hp fits quite well with the general curve of HP so far. Maybe Lun will increase the plunge or something

I think it is pretty obvious Gaius could be the perfect blade and the PS, that's what I thought after my first play through. BUT I don't think Kalmar could really controll him.. something's missing..

Nerx, what gives you the impression the Gaius can't be manipulated by anyone and is in complete control? When he touches Kloe in Ep 4, and appears to see what she did (I'm assuming), he says "Don't come near me again or I'll have to kill you." Or something to that effect. That implies to me that he has some duty, some purpose that he has little control over. Also the way he talks to Rhue at the end of Ep 5 "You cannot be allowed to continue" or something like that, implies again that he has a purpose he's following. I don't think that Gaius is making all of his decisions on his own.

I don't think Kalmar was the one controling him in the first place if he is the perfect blade. I think Kalmar just trained him.

That's possible, although we know that he also trained Traziun, and Traziun then went off and ignored what Kalmar wanted out of him. It sounds like Kalmar is happier with his new Blade, and that sounds to me like he has more control over him, or at least that he's doing generally what Kalmar wants him to do, even if he's not actually be recieving regular orders.
