I was looking around the net to find some connection as to where lun found his names...

I found an artist that produced some rather nice pictures and if you take a look at the link I provided, you might recall some views from the game 'the way'... or am I taking things to far again?

ON THE RIDGE OF BEN LOYAL:opening screen episode 1 where rhue asks"where are you"...

AN TEALLACH: The mountains where rhue meets up with cetsa before being bothered by slade

SNOW ON STAC POLAIDH, COIGACH: the same kinda of pano was used when rhue, dirk and scatha looked towards the mountains

Like I said I might be too deep into looking for clues or hints where Lun got his inspiration, but are pretty nice pictures so take a look, might be worth your time....

It was said before. It is Christianity.

I doubt that Lun got his inspiration soley on christianity... if you read those topics and the links they provide, you might understand that it's in fact not even farfetched... it's actually fact.
Taoism might have been used in the way... i read most of it and there's similarities. Who said an artist or programer had to chain themselves to just one source of inspiration? I know I'm not... I tend to scour about everywhere to find nice theories and fundaments for my stories. Even in Einsteins theories at that...

Ok. Christainity is MAIN. Everything else is meh, there smallish.

Still, pretty nice job on uncovering all these (probably unrelated) facts, it was a nice read.

Honestly? When working on any plot, you'll pick up a metric fuck-load of references from stuff you'll notice once and dismiss in the back of your head until you need a name or imagry to work with.

It's very possible he saw those sites and never visited them again. He could have had no intention to use them, but used them anyway.

considering that Sorya is a non Lun sprite and has been used in various games, there's also a nude version i came across once... (shes based on a character from sakura taisen btw...) and ... if somebody can convince lun to use that character when rhue meets her in the bath between plunges in episode 4 ... you've got the scene you asked for ^_^

I've seen Earth Girl Arjuna and .Hack, but... God dare I say it as it seems to be common knowledge... I have never heard of Taoism. (Yeah start flaming I got my heat shield ready)

Then again, if it's used in that many games/anime I don't want to know what it is or I'll start being bothered by it

ya remember the scene in which the old geezer explains we become what we eat from arjuna or the thing that a spirit can actually go between worlds based on perception (hack)... those are slightely based on topics from taoism... so it's no biggy... the whole life stream ff 7 thing is also some special religion thingy in japan if I'm correct so... normally you're already absorbing the information without knowing it. So don't be afraid to be bothered by it ^_^

There already has been, in Kloe's flashback during EP3.
