Midian was a son of Abraham and his concubine Keturah (Genesis 25:1-6). His descendants, the Midianites, settled in the territory east of the Jordan River.
Midian was also the scene where one of the best-known incidents of The Bible occurred - The Lord's (see The Logos and Rock Of Ages) appearance in the burning bush.
In later years, the Midianites were often oppressive and hostile to the Israelites, at least partly as God's punishment for their idolatry.

Dunno... kinda useless post... just digging trough information looking for clues as to where lun got his juice...

Why must I teach people to compress their shit into one topic?

You could have just made a single topic about the (useless, pointless) origins of each character's name and left it at that, but instead you have to flood the boards with stuff which is hardly relevant (and Lun could have come up with names from a million places).

agreed... but then again... things might get messed up and misunderstood if u compress all things in one topic... but i know what u mean... and I'll compress next time k?
I'll just call it... Alundra's rant ^_^
