Easy answer: Get all the notch items you can and fight all the battles. Use Risk attacks sparingly and as I said, GET LOTS OF NOTCH ITEMS. Do every mini-game, side-plunge, etc you can do, because that often increases stats. Other than that, it's really luck.

And make sure you link good BAs, such as Burning Edge. Just getting notch items and winning every other Plunge/mini-game is the best way to do it.

So basically i have to do ep5 all over to get every item....
Sigh.....

To be on the safe side I'd say you should do the entire series over again.

What does 'sparingly' mean? j/k
I use risk attacks often, but that's because I've found a certain pattern to the plunge. Of course, there are times when the pattern is thrown all out of whack. (It happened to me yesterday in Episode 2, the Marna Stretch. The idiot used Lunge Cut risks 10 times in a row. Then he started copying me EXACTLY. Same attack, risk, and getting Cool Wind happened to both of us 7 turns in a row. It was friggin annoying)

you are not going to believe this but most of the plunge patterns are pure random. some are slightly tilted... some are perfectly scripted but most are pure randomness... this will be more evident in e6.

what for? it wasn't bad, quite the reverse! total randomness: Anarchy is mother of order!
but swich of enemy IQ in ep5 was awfully dirty...

Here is a tip. Most of the time the plunges go in a pattern. I will let you figure it out.

In some plunges risk attacks is your friend, in others you bet on link attacks. sometimes you just have to have luck. But there is some pattern. Trial and error is the best way to find out really.

Just pure curiosity lonewulf, but why did you spell Traz's name "Tranzium"? Sounds fucked up and he deserves RESPECT.

Actually, it's better to use them sparingly so that you can get a finisher early.

I almost never use risk attacks, my oponents use enough anyway.

By the end of episode 5, I basicly stopped using finishers. I wasted all my FP on link attacks. I looooove Lanner. >_<

I've never gotten a finisher in the whole series....
Silvercrow: Risk attacks use FP? I though only Links and finishers used FP.....
