I'm not a regular user of the forums, so please forgive me if this has been theorized and discussed before.
Anyway, I remember a long while ago people pondering the question of how many episodes there will be. Well, Every episode, I checked Rhue's plunge class, and it moved up one per episode.
1 - Plyn
2 - Hylyn
3 - Corlyn
4 - Deralyn
5 - Portalyn
(I haven't played episode 6 yet)
It seems to be a consistent trend. Anyway, if this continues, the most likely outcome would be a total of 7 or 8 episodes:
1- Plyn
2 - Hylyn
3 - Corlyn
4 - Deralyn
5 - Portalyn
6 - Vandralyn
7 - Straphalyn
8 - Pharaphalyn
Just a simple theory. Thank you for your time.

Nope. I was a Straphalyn in episode 5. The rank depends on how good your stats are.

Actually, I think the rank depends on how many Plunges you've won, although it may be both.

I just checked. It's stats. I used the variable control board to increase my stats and I became a Straphalyn instantly.

I looked through the coding, heres the formula for what rank your at:
(Max Plunge*10) + (Damage Threshold*2) + (Strides*2) + Critical Strength + Critical% + (Cross Sweep Link/5) + (Lunge Cut Link/5) + (Drop Slash Link/5) = Overall Rating
Overall Rating < 40 = Wanderer
Overall Rating > 41 = Plyn
Overall Rating > 81 = Hilyn
Overall Rating > 121 = Corlyn
Overall Rating > 161 = Deralyn
Overall Rating > 205 = Portalyn
Overall Rating > 250 = Vandralyn
Overall Rating > 290 = Straphalyn
There is no coding for Pharaphalyn incase you were wondering.

Well, it wouldn't make sense, would it? I mean the Pharaphalyn is the most powerful Lyn on the Way, so it would probably take more than just stats to make you one.

Isn't that odd.

No, not really... It would be stupid if Rhue could get Pharaphalyn just by getting the appropriate stats. It's most likely a story related thing. Whether or not the title will one day belong to Rhue I don't know but having this awesome title depend on stats would be disappointing to say the least.

I dunno, it might be some sort of stat based option, E6 is meant to be less linear, so maybe at some point in E6 (or further on) Rhue might become the Pharaphalyn based on his stats, or maybe something else amongst the various things that are recorded in variables in the way, or he might not. Y'know, a fork.

Maby there isn't actually a Pharaphalyn, just another legend of The Way or somthing.

The pharaphalyn is going to exist. It has been focused on too much.

Only Strata ever really talks about the Pharaphalyn, or why he hasn''t been proclaimed Pharaphalyn yet, it wasn't really focused on as far as I can remember.
