Why does Rhue hate mirrors so much? Im still noob but i dont understand why he says mirrors lie to him and stuff.

It's never clearly explained, and may never be important. He could just have self-image problems and only Cetsa can cure this inner pain (with some OUTER beauty!)

Or, most philisophically, it's believed a mirror is a reflection of your aura. Since it's thought that Rhue is not who he thinks he is, he does not see himself in mirrors. That's why he hates mirrors, he percieves for them to "lie to him". But rather, he's lying to himself.

Other people think it's because he's Midian in Rhue's body or Rhue in Midian's body. I personally think that would have a much more dramatic response upon looking into a mirror (like... "OMG WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FACE" or something like that), but he could've been confused or something like that.

Well come on, it's not like it's the first time he's seen a mirror

I also hate mirrors. That doesn't mean I've absorbed someones soul or is walking in someone elses body.

AHA! How's this for a theory... Rhue is Tele... they both hate mirrors... it all fits!

I'm not exactly sure, but I don't think you ever see a mirror scene in a standard "autostart" cutscene, so the only mirror you actually 'have' to use is the one in the mansion puzzle, so it could just probably be an extra little thing, like the pendant at the beginning of episode 1.

On second thought, Rhue's a vampire.

It keeps track of how many mirrors you've looked at throughout the game though, it must have some importance.

The whole mirror thing is 1/4 of the evidence for the Rhue = Midian theory, the other 3/4 are that Midian is looking for someone, there is nothing in clear contradiction, and a lot of people say something like "so he is still alive after all...". I personally don't believe the Rhue = Midian theory, but I do think that Rhue = someone else. Rhue = Eyashu mabye? Only Lun knows. And mabye fwacho. But meh, #6 will be out soon, plenty of questions will be answered then. Do we really need to make theories? I don't think so, but it's fun being a storyline detective, even if it decreases the experiance of the game a little.
I bet the Rhue is actually Eyashu theory has been done before, and disproved, too, but it does seem slightly possible. My evidance against the Rhue = Midian theory: Midian looks nothing like Rhue.

That's not evidence, becuase there's the whole shifting auras dealio.

It's been put forth before, but, while it may have been deemed 'highly unlikely' at some point thanks to perceived better theory options, it can't actually be proven definitely that it doesn't work, since we don't yet know enough about Eyashu.

I thiunk he does not want to look in the mirror because he's in someone's body after he died so he may think or see that everyone else sees him as Rhue, but he sees himself as the body his soul went into.

Yeah, probably hates looking at himself because he's not "Rhue".

My guess is that while scanning the Book of Sermot (sp?) he'll notice there's an entry about Rhue being dead. (And maybe the other book that Serena was never born, but that's another discussion).

Maybe this will be something that will have an impact on the sidequests in Episode 6?

You know, it could... Like when there's a side quests in the mirror room and Rhue goes insane when there's someone near him and screams out the truth or something... just a thought...
