So far there has never been less than two or more than five.

Episode 1 - 3 plunges
Episode 2 - 5 plunges
Episode 3 - 2 plunges
Episode 4 - 5 plunges
Episode 5 - 5 plunges

I suspect it will depend on which course you take, but for an average, I'll guess at least seven.

I'm going with 6 as there has never been more than five in an episode but this time Lun is going the extra mile and giving us more plunges.

More than likely? It's a total guess, so why 'more than likely'?

I have no idea, but there's probably going to be more, as Rhue is strong enough to take it now.

Hopefully there will be more than 4 plunges...Will Rhue be able to win them all? Who could they be against?
I'm betting at least Strata and Midian. Well, I'm guessing anyway.

I think he will plunge scartha, he did kill Jopaga who was "creating" a formula for her face and may have finished it if it wasnt for rhue killing him. So seeing that shes so obsesed with her image (thus the mask and the pretty hair incedent) she will attack rhue

Or maybe who you plunge will be determined by certain variables? Perhaps is the Scatha variable is high, then the two wont battle? Hopefully...I like Scatha, she's cool.

Rhue would have to do something insanely wrong to get Scatha to fight him. In 3 and 5 and even 4 she regards Rhue not as an enemy really, she knows/knew who he was before this game began. She even suggested to bring Rhue along in the hunt for Tetzel when she didn't have to bring him, to help him in his search for Serena and the truth. And I don't think she's THAT freakin concerned about looks so much as whatever it is she's travelling with Dirk and Rhue for.

More on topic I vote 7 plunges, and I have no idea what my logic was for doin so but I did.

Don't be so sure about that. Lexus did tell Scatha that, according to some files, Jopaga had abandoned all other projects to devote full attention to formula #43 and, since Jopaga reacted kind of excessively (though, admittedly, that could have just been lingering shock that Rhue absorbed Cade's aura making him react more vehemently) and Scatha herself said, "I don't think you've been completely honesssst with me," I get the feeling she believed that. Besides, for having a fairly screwed up background, Scatha almost seems kinda reasonable. And, since she saw what exactly happened in that lab when Rhue went psycho, I think she understands it wasn't entirely his fault and won't hold it against him. Of course, I could be wrong, but...

Anyway, as for number of plunges, my guess is at least five (though only because that's the most commonly appearing number ^_^o), but I also think that the branching paths will come into play in this area; that is, the choices you make at certain points in Episode VI (and some choices in V and relationship-related variables) will determine the number of plunges you have to fight, as well as who some of those plunges will be against.
