When Rhue, Gaius, Dirk and Scatha stopped to camp out in the forest and Rhue woke up alone, we know that Gaius was continuing on to the End of the Way, but what ever happened to Dirk and Scatha? I thought I missed something, but I asked some other people and they didn't know either.

Maybe they went off to find the PS after hearing screams from Sacrifa's camp?

I've wondered about this, and frankly, I wish i knew...

to me Scatha's seems like she's not the type of person to wait around for anyone to wake up and Dirk.....well Dirk is Dirk.

That still doesn't explain where they went. If they wanted to go to the End of the Way they would have met up with Rhue and Gaius by now, and if they didn't want to, why would they have went with Rhue in the first place?

It's the basics of survival, if you want to survive the night then you're gonna need to stay in a group, you could argue that Scatha's a tough girl, but she hates the surface and has no idea how to survive in the upper world.

A theory's that been going around the forum is that Rhue becomes the Phantom Slasher while he's asleep, so maybe he killed Dirk & Scatha while they were asleep. Although that doesn't fit the MO of the slasher, he doesn't tend to hide his victims bodies.
Appart from once, in I think Ep.1 when Rhue & Traziun ran into a half burried grave with a guy in it, they must have disturbed the killer or someone cleaning up the mess. Unless that person wasn't killed by the slasher of course.

Although thinking about that I doubt Lun would just kill off Scatha and Dirk in the middle of the night. An NPC you recently met, that I can understand but such developed characters like Dirk and Scatha, nope ain't gonna happen. But I'm sure he has an awfully good reason for them leaving Rhue alone.

We were lead to beleive that the two bodies were killed by bandits, who Rhue and Traz killed.

Scatha probably knew Gaius was lying and therefore, with Dirk, went on ahead. They got a night's head-start anyway.

Unless Gaius led Rhue to the certain place to take his sword and Scatha and Dirk are just somewhere waiting for Gaius to come back and help them.

The fact that no (former) beta testers take part in this discussion is evidence to suggest that Scatha and Dirk pop up somewhere along the way in Ep.6 and rejoin Rhue's squad.
But it bothers me, too, how that is going to happen. they could jump into the fray at the very beginning of the episode or hook up casually. I hope it happens in a thrilling way

You have to ask yourself where the bodies of the pople the PS killed at that camp were put... and yalso, you ahve to ask yourself why Kygar was just waiting in a forest to plunge rhue, I'd assume Kygar had some reason to0 be there, I'd guess he was commanding the blue scarves now that Dancing Violet had been captured. Maybe those bandits were the reason to Scatha and Dirks dissapearance? hell if i knew.

Well, we know Scatha doesn't trust Gaius at all, which could explain it, and Dirk just does his own thing. Still doesn't explain why all of them left without Rhue.
