My theory on Serena...

Hi all. I am new to these boards. Anyways, here is my Serena guess.

WHAT IF.... Serena is the little girl in the shadow flashbacks? The ones where it shows the mother telling the kids to behave, then she kills the little girl. This way, Scatha WOULD know Serena, but Serena would be dead.

The mother never said the little girl was dead. All the mother said was, "The little one is gone now."

At first I thought it was Kloe, but as of late, I'm not so sure...
Maybe I could have confirmation if Scatha recognises Kloe in the next Episode.

The only scene where I have seen Kloe and Scatha together is in Episode 2 where Rhue knocks that Shadow Sword into the Pits.

If that little girl in the tent scene was Serena, then that would have explained why Scatha knew Serena because they would have been sisters.

Actually, it does say she is dead. I'll post the paragraph containing the message and the one after.

MOTHER: The little one is dead.\| This
would never have happened if she had been
obedient.

MOTHER: When you don't obey me,\.\. you will
only hurt yourself and others.\| I'm only trying
to protect you children.\| I know what's best for
you.

Just thought of something. What if the mother told "Serena" not to see Rhue, but did anyways? Maybe that's why she got killed, which would also explain the blood on the necklace.

could be. Though then it would imply that that family lived in landorin. And that slade should have been in the massacre. And since only one known survivor is alive (it's lyrra.) it's probably not true.
probably, might be wrong :)

Remember that no corpse was ever found in the Landorin Massacre. So, if the little girl was Serena, the mother could have assumed she was dead with the others. Also, Slade was too old to be involved in the massacre.

For anyone who has played any pencil-and-paper RPG, a statement of 'x-person is dead' doesn't mean that's the truth of life.

But, if Chasta and Serena are sisters, the hair doesn't exactly match (at least in my world, she has brown hair), which could explain the merciless behaviour of the mother towards Chasta. Maybe she had too many men in her life, and ended up hating men in general, so she warned Chasta about men... And when Chasta disobeyed... well, we all know what happened!

What an excellent time to explain how all muslims are non-Christian and deserve to be stoned to death. [/sarcasm]
