Music Variation

I was replaying episode 5 the other day and recognized how some of the music changed. 'ffbossa' and 'intothebreach' seemed to have been more piano-based in the previous episodes, but in episode 4/5 onwards they consisted mainly of brass and string instruments. What confuses me even more is that when I listen to the individual pieces from the earlier episodes using RM2K it sounds like the second version, but when I enter a test battle with a monster who has one of those selected as the battle bgm it sounds like the original piano based version. I doubt that this holds any significance to the Way story itself, but does anyone have a clue about how it occurs? Is it effected by some variable in the Event programming, or do I just have a retarded computer?

There's an rm2k-bug that causes some midi files to be played like that, so maybe that's it.

Yeah, rm2k tends to piano-ize midis. I THINK if you run the game from the rm2k3 editor it happens less often, but it still might on occasion.

I've alway noticed it happens alot less in fullscreen then in windowed mode, in case that helps.
