Well, considering he had pretty much done by the time he release E1, it's hard to gauge time, but then again, he does do marathon 9-hour sessions of work. But still a year sounds pretty right.

Not everyone has plenty of time to spend on their hobbys every single day, unfortunately. I'm sure Lun works really hard and puts much of his spare time in The Way and that's all that can be expected. Next to that, I'm not experienced in RM2K, but I think it takes time and effort to perfect every little scene and area. Also, he composes songs and makes graphics. He also needs to do some testing by himself as well.

No wonder he does 9-hour marathons, I don't think he can achieve anything significant in less than that.

A lot of people don't realize just how much time and effort goes into game production. Not to mention there's a hella lot of planning and documentation that goes on outside the actual coding process. And believe me, map editing is the easy part -.- Everything after that is coding and/or scripting. *smirk* I'm just gonna stick to writing music. it's less confusing, and less time consuming :-D

Actually, in my experience, map editing has always been what I DON'T like to do. Scripting is more my thing, actually. Still, I would never release anything that doesn't sport a well designed map.
