Ghost Horror?

Okay, I was replaying Episode 5 again today, and I realized one thing: Kalmar said "And the Ghost Horror will go to another...". And then his sword flew off. But where did it land?

Okay, so the game continued, and I get to the cutscene of Slade waking up. But I noticed in the room, there was a sword stuck on the ground looking exactly like Ghost Horror. Curious, I go into RM2K and look at the event, and find out that it IS indeed the Ghost Horror. Well, the event is called "GHOST HORROR" so I think it is the same sword. Probably doesn't mean much, but then again, Kalmar DID say that the sword "will go to another" so...yeah. I'll shut up.

Interesting... Slade didn't pick it up... Maybe someone else will. But who?

And since I don't feel like starting another topic, here's another little discovery of mine:

In the credits of E5, in the second map (Credits 2), there are four characters walking through the snow. One is Rhan, obviously. I went into Rm2k, and the leftmost man is labled "You know who". Maybe I'm just dumb, but I don't remeber this person from anywhere else.

According to Fwacho (Who I'd trust about as far as I could throw), Lun intended to show a scene with Lyrra getting it, but cut it out.

Yeah, I was under the impression that was what drove Lyrra mad.

"You-know-who" could be someone important like Tetzel...

Er, he's Lord Wyst. He showed up briefly in Estrana.

lol, classic :D

Seriously, I must have played Episode 5 at least 3-5 times now and I don't recall GHOST HORROR being mentioned by Kalmar...

I'm pretty sure Lyrra took the sword because 1)How could she kill a blood lyn without it? and 2)Rhue launches the sword away after killng lyrra.
I wonder where it went at the end. Maybe Kloe...

Ah yes, it has to be Lyrra. mainly because her sword that flew off look exactly like Ghost Horror. That and the fact that it flew off. I doubt even Rhue could whack it that far away, since it's a sword, not a ball.

I just realized that Kloe is probably going to meet up with Strata or Ruhe and Gaius in the next episode, since she showed up at the opening of the cave. Just something else I noticed on my second playing.

Also, the fire on the buildings at Dream Estrana seems to die out near the Shadow Inn, but reappears again as you get close to Jed.

And for some reason, while Rhue is having visions of Slade's memories, he changes to transparent in some parts, but remains solid in other. Can't really describe it - replay that part again to see what I mean.

Oh, one last thing. Rhue find death to be a joke. Here's the proof after the battle with the Blood Lyns in the beginning:

This is suicide, but at least it's.... "responsible suicide" maybe?
I never thought I'd find death so humorous.
But maybe that's what death is... a joke.
Yea... One big funny joke.
And probably the cruelest joke on the whole flaming Way.

Not much, but I find it humourous that he jokes about it. Maybe it refers to his state of mind for the time being.

Oh, did anybody notice that Gaius appears in the credits of Episode 1-3 but not 4-5? Also, probably not really important, but curious nonetheless. Episode 5 can be explained, but 4....

Funny you should mention that

"But maybe that's what death is... a joke.
Yea... One big funny joke.
And probably the cruelest joke on the whole flaming Way. "

bit, because in a very early beta version Lun had Jeramyu and myself (that I know of) test, there was a bug right there, and a Game Over screen would come up right after Rhue says that.

Picture it a sec. I thought Lun had done it on purpose at first, it was so perfect.

I think he said there was supposed to be a "Lyrra vs. the Blood Lyn" minigame immediately following as well.

Incidentally, has anybody ever wondered what is "blood" about the Blood Lyn? It seems like a very odd name to me, but the organization is still very mysterious.

From WGB:

The Blana Sera - (the Blood Lyn)The Blana Sera are a very mysterious entity. Not much is known about them in particular, but everyone is familiar with their "communes" known as Battle Grounds and their practice of training young children into warriors at these Battle Grounds along the Way. When these children reach the age of 18 they are contracted out to various employers. All the children are initiated into the way of the Lyn. They are known as Blood Lyn, because of their blood oaths to serve the Blana Sera or whoever the Blana Sera contract them out to. Blood Lyn who break their blood oaths by leaving the battle grounds early or by breaking their contracts are hunted down and executed. The Blana Sera are bitter enemies of the Guided.

Does anyone but me think that Lun is just putting these names on events like GHOST HORROR and You know who just to confuse us knowing we'll just look through rm2k for answers, which'll confuse us more when the real thing happens. OR maybe he wants us to think the above just so when we discard theories he hits us with them in EP 6. OR he makes us think that and just changes it to what we think... it's an eternal loops of dispare!

Well, it seems to be the best reason of how Lyrra got the sword.

But I think it's weird that Lyrra goes crazy with the sword but Kalmar seems...well, less eccentric.

I've said before that a lot of people here seem to read way too much into things that don't actually appear in the game, like the names of events, and things tha occur on inaccessable areas of the maps. That said, I think Lun names most of the events descriptively, so that he can keep track of them more easily. For example, it would appear that Lyrra's sword was the Ghost Horror of which Kalmar spoke, but you don't really need to read the source to figure out that that's a very likely possibility.

(Regarding my earlier question about the name "Blood Lyn," I had just forgotten that bit from the Wanderer's Guidebook, for the simple reason that it seemed like a lousy explanation. It would work to explain "Bound Lyn" or even "Blooded Lyn," but since "blood" is a common attributive adjective, whose use in no way connotes oath-taking, it sounds phony. I think Lun should change it. :))

Maybe he coundent think of anything better at the time, and couldent change it.
Also, the ghost horror dident drive Lyrra insane, she allready was. It, and Scatha, just turned it into a diffrent kind of insane, you know. The one where you start chopping random peoples heads off and saying it's not your fault.
