Hello world. I've starting playing The Way series and its decent. Since I see that EP6 is far underway, I have a suggestion for EP7. Though because of this it would probably have to be The Way 2 EP1. Why don't you make it with RMXP and have a hell of alot better graphics and even gameplay.

Not going to happen. LunC is going to use Rm2k till The Way is over, then he will move on to 3d Engines.

It would be a mind-strain for Lun to transfer all the graphics to RMXP.

Besides, RMXP sucks in terms of the target audience.

I'm completly RP2K loyal. the combat system for 2003 (with the little characters from the side) doesn't suit me and its near impossible to find custom charsets etc that fit in with the xp graphics so its either no custom or all custom sometimes.

you shouldn't really change the program you use until a series is over even if lun would.
whats wrong with the way as it is though? I wouldn't change a thing.

RMXP has the same battle system as 2K, just so you know. I'm working on a XP project, but it's true that right now the traget audience isn't even half as big as that of RM2K.

Why do you care, graphics aren't the most important aspect of the game, and it's rm2k for god's sake, you can't get much better graphics out there for rm2k.

Alright, all of you people whom use RM2k because of RM2k/3's battle system are extremly lazy. Its not even that hard to come up with a custom battle system, as right now I am working on an ABS. As for custom graphics, yes you would have to make your own, in which makes the game alot better. The series could be over with EP6 but with RMXP you could have Part 2 of the series. Though I would say if you convert, get a bigger team together.

That's a pretty big assumption there. After The Way, Lun's moving on to something else. Game =/= sequel.

or.... Lun could leave it just as it is and people will still love it cause its a kick arse game!! OMG!!! Simple enough

Yes, homebrew electronic RPGs really haven't been very safe in the past. Once you finish your Anti-lock Brake System, maybe you could give them air bags.

indeed, fwacho already spilled that lun is busy creating another game (or something close to it... another project anyhow) and i forgot wether it was tied or not to the way... fwacho didn't say much about it tough...
Maybe it's a sequel or maybe it's nothing to do with the way.
In any case it'll be good cause after the things Lun and his crew have made up until this day, he's already proven lots of times he can do about anything. I do hope it'll be freeware again

or at least that he makes it available to non-america players to buy it...
