Heya all,

Word has finally come in from those awesome folks at the Alex D'Or awards, and it turns out the French translation of The Way, aka La Voie, has been nominated for 2 awards this year.

The first is Meilleur Scenario, Best Scenario. The other nominees are :

Les Terres Lointaines :

Rêve :

Shadows of Sun :

The second category is Meilleure Mise en Scène, which refers to cutscene direction. The other nominees are :

Aedemphia :

Rêve :

Shadows of Sun :

Now, the awards themselves will be determined by poll. These will be opening early November. In the mean time, it would be great if those of you who intend to vote, and don't mind playing a game in French, could give our opponents a fair try before you rush to vote for The Way.

The homepage for the awards is http://alexdor.fr.st

It's not as good as the Misao or anything, but 2 categories is a decent show seeing as how we only had Episode 1 to present this year. Next year, it'll be a whole different Plunge.

I'll keep you posted with news from the website, and will make sure you all know when the voting polls open.

May the Purpose guide you,
Roir

The other games don't deserve a fair try. The Way is better. End of story.

Could you bring this up again when the voting starts? I want to vote for The Way, but I think I'll have forgotten by November 1st.

I doubt it because it took me some time to find the actual german version without having to pay a lot (german sites ask fee's to download) If i come up with a translation i'll be sure to post a link as its a superb game

I looked at that German game's trailer. Looks pretty cool, but is it in caves all the time?

I hope my limited German will be enough for the game as well.

kyle, k heb da spel uitgespeeld (en er heel wa van geript voor mijne dc :P en heel veel duits hebbek op school ni gehad dus :? tzal u wel lukken)

Nope, you don't need to know a lot of german, but I think I've seen an english translation about somewhere on the net... I'll go look it up asap.
And it's not constantly in a cave. There are various locations and even an underwater part which is one of my favorite things ever since Lun invented a swimming rhue!
The german game has one of the only storylines that's almost as captivating as the way. I mean cuddos to both grandy and lun... If only I were to be able to fund an actual gaming company those two ppl were the first I'd contact to work together with me...
The whole story of Duesterburg is about a vampire that took over a country by using a strong magical spell. As you start the story, you seem to have forgotten a lot of your past due to reasons unknown. But as the story progresses you recover your lost past and the truth is kinda hard to swallow. Hence you want to fight the demon vampire for reason i will not spoil, but expect twists and turns where you don't expect them. And the humor is very nice too. MAN imagine a game constructed by lun and grandy ^_^ *starts drooling*... and while we're at it why not toss sovan jedi in the mix...and the ppl of chrono ressurection (I hope most of you ppl know that this is the 3D remake of chrono trigger, made by a couple of fans, but the project got canned thanks to square...) OMG that game would rock solid ^_^ but enough dreaming... now back to making a plan to rob a bank and start a game develloping company 8)
