how does the "of the ----- Stretch" thing work?
i would have imagined that its the stretch you were born in but rhue says he is of the landorin stretch but he wasn't born there
he like all wandrers say that they wandered up the way it even says so in the flashback with traziun in ep#2 "...we used to play on days we didn't have to wander up the way..."
so presumably rhue wasn't born on the landorin stretch but was just passing through it when the landorin massacre happend.

sorry if this a noobish question or has been done before

People just pick a stretch they remember most for the good times they've had there. Yes, Rhue must have had some VERY good times for them to outweigh the bad

But where did I get this from? I don't remember... Could have been a dream of mine too, but I think I remember reading it somewhere...

really? that seems a bit silly to me. why would rhue, who is completly obsessed with finding serena, name the stretch on which he lost her to be his favorite?

From the Wanderers' Guidebook:

Many wanderers refer to their home stretch when giving their full name. "I am Therin of the Nelin Stretch." Wanderers can pick whatever stretch they want to name as their home stretch. However, most wanderers choose stretches that are special or significant to them for some reason.

Obviously, Rhue thinks Landorin was the most significant stretch for him.

There are some surprising things in it, such as the plunge mechanics, which actually are contrary to what they teach you in the game.

I knew I read it somewhere. I even tried the Guidebook but I no longer had it on my HD and the link is down on the main site.
