Lyrra's brother

Whenever Rhue and Strata have their talk at the beginning of Episode 5 right after their fight, Rhue says that Lyrra "had a brother who was killed..." I'm pretty damn sure Rosmar didn't die during the rematch with Rhue, and he made it sound like it happened during the Phantom Slasher attack on Lyrra's fist... so... what's he talkin' about?

as jed points out in ep#3 (i think) rosmar is not lyrra's brother, he was just someone who travelled with lyrra's fist.
lyrra's real brother's name is jeruh and he supposedly died in the landorin massacre of which lyrra (like rhue) survived although i have a different theory (see my theory topic).
also, lyrra's fist wasn't killed by the phantom slasher, it was the blue scarves.
Jed isnt her real dad either just in case you thought he was.

Dr. Casey, were you even paying attention? It was explained in great specificity in the game that Rosmar was not Lyrra's brother.
Flibbo, why don't you think Jed is Lyrra's father?

well he would have travelled with lyrra as a child and therefore would have also been a survivior of the landorin massacre but it is mentioned a few times that there was only one survivior. Because no-one knows about rhue or lyrra (if she is in fact alive) that leaves only lyrra.
he may be as good as a father but i think he is only adoptive, like a foster child calling his foster parents mum and dad, lyrra calls him father.
i may be wrong

landorin massacre - no kods killed, that either rules out lyrra as a survivor or if she's a survivor then jed's not her real dad.

In fact, it appears that it was
all kids who were killed. Another revelation from the Wanderers' Guidebook is that there were
two horrific events on the Landorin stretch years ago. The other one may be involved with the death of Lyrra's mother.
And that's her real mother I mean, just like Jed was her real father. If Rhue and Serena were present at the Landorian massacre (and that's a big
if), then they would have been counted among the casualties. None of the children's bodies were recovered, so if Serena fell into the river and was swept away, while Rhue wandered off in search of her--neither ever seeing their parents again--they would be assumed dead. Lyrra is the only known survivor, because she made it back to Jed, to tell him (sort of) what had happened.

It was true at that point, but it may not have remained so. Recall the Phantom Slasher's encounter with the Shadow Lords and the tavern wench. In that case, the Phantom Slasher chose to kill the (relatively) innocent victim. So the killer's nature may be evolving.

I paid attention, I just forgot. I don't have an encyclopediac knowledge of The Way yet.

I had the idea that Landorin was relatively "sacred" in nature, and since the Slasher kills "unclean" people, that everyone who was on Landorin were "unclean" in his eyes.

Could rhue be lyrra's brother? You have to admit there is a resemblance.

They both have brown hair and like blue clothes. (I had a eighth-grade Health assignment that involved both those things, actually.) That isn't the strongest evidence, especially since Jed would likely recognize his son. (Lyrra might not be willing to recognize him though, because of her neuroses. In fact, one
could argue that perhaps Jed did recognize Rhue as Jeruh, but he didn't want to hurt Lyrra by pressing the issue when both of the youngsters were present, especially since Jeruh seemed altered and didn't remember his own past properly. This might be why Jed trusts Rhue to put him out of his misery.) However, since Rhue seems not to believe in the correctness of his own reflection, it's possible that he might have changed bodies, along with developing partial amnesia (see below).
More compelling, perhaps, is the fact that the naive pronunciations of "Rhue" and "Jeruh" are very similar. (Drop the "Je-" and what do you get?) That and Rhue's contention that he was one of the kids involved in the Landorin massacre suggest that there may indeed be some connection between Jeruh and Rhue. (One absorbed the other's aura, perhaps.)

Jeruh
Rhuej
Yep. >_<It's close.
And I'm sick of this fucking shit. JED IS LYRRA'S FATHER. Jed was not present at the Landorin Massacre. The people that died in that were all kids, and the only known survivor was Lyrra. The parents were not survivors, because they weren't there.
